Fuqi Hostel

Check-in is at 3 PM, and as other reviews mentioned, service can be a bit slow as the front desk isn't always staffed. This time I stayed in the female dorm. The owner was super enthusiastic and told me to pick my bed. The middle beds feel more enclosed, while the side beds are a bit bigger. Luckily, I was the only one in the room, so I slept really well and it felt like I had a private room. Check-out is at 10:30 AM. You have to remove the duvet cover and pillowcase and put them in the laundry basket before checking out. I spent quite a while looking for the laundry basket and ended up taking it to the fourth floor myself. Waiting to check out also took a while, as the staff isn't always at the front desk.

This hostel has a great location, making it convenient for getting anywhere. Just be aware that the air conditioning is turned off from 11 AM to 3 PM.

This guesthouse is a converted old house, located in a lively area of Tainan City. It has a well-lit courtyard and a spacious common area. The showers have good water pressure. We stayed in a bunk bed room on the 3rd floor, and everything was fine.

This location is super convenient for getting to all the attractions. You can take direct transportation to Anping Fort, Shennong Street, Chihkan Tower, and more. Lin Department Store is just a short walk away, literally a few dozen meters. The hostel itself is beautiful inside, very quiet at night, and the rooms are spacious. It offers excellent value for money!

It's a bit basic, and the lighting is quite dim. The facilities are older, and the room is in the attic, which could feel a bit cramped for taller individuals. Also, if you need to use the restroom at night, you really have to be careful going up and down the stairs. However, considering the very low price, you can't really ask for more.
