Aloft Taipei Beitou

Beitou Hot Spring Area
I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxed and easy quarantine stay. The hotel is located a bit out of downtown, which is ideal, as I was able to have a Guandu view room with a double bed, which helped. The room had a lovely big window, which enabled me to have a good wake up every day. The quality of the service was excellent. Check-in easy, continued service through the stay no issue. I connected to the reception staff through Line in English, and they were really helpful, sending refills of whatever was asked for. The room itself at 29sqm was great, nicely and colorfully decorated. There is plenty of space to hide away the luggage. Also, there was enough room to relax and exercise, and there were several days I was able to get up to 10,000 paces on my Fitbit. This, followed by a great and refreshing shower, worked a treat. Overall the bathroom was excellent. The often asked question is what about the food, but I have no complaints, while I am British, I love the local food. We had the Bento selection, and the quality was good. Breakfast was a seven-day cycle, and the lunch and dinner were on a fourteen-day cycle. Yes, the dishes were similar a couple of times, but the portion size was good, so I had to work on the exercise to keep the weight off. The internet was no issue, and I could have several Zoom meetings during my stay. Steaming music worked well. I am not a TV watcher and so can not comment on the channel selection. So after a busy day, I was ready for a good night's sleep, and again this was no issue a very comfortable bed, which enabled me to wake up refreshed for another day. I am not sure if I will need to stay in a quarantine hotel in the future, but I know I would certainly book this hotel again. Thank you to all the staff who made the experience actually enjoyable.

Although the wallpaper is a bit old and needs to be changed, the bed is quite clean and the location is very convenient. There are a lot of things to eat nearby, including late night snacks and drinks! The bus stop is just next door!
Kimpton Da An Hotel

Zhongxiao Dunhua Commercial Circle
I chose a room with separate bath. The bath is not a Western-style bath that you can lie in. It’s square shaped and about four feet wide and long. You can sit in it, but you can’t recline in it if this is something you’re looking for. The hotel offers an outstanding breakfast at the Tavernist. Breakfast here is easily more delicious than at more expensive hotels. Even the coffee was great. Breakfast is a la carte rather than buffet but the servings are perhaps even excessively generous. The hotel location is also very good. I wasn’t that familiar with Taipei when I booked but the location turned out to be convenient. It’s a few minutes walk to Zhongxiao Fuxing station, which can take travelers to a few tourist spots, and about a twenty minute walk to Huashan Creative Park. There are Japanese-style department stores with restaurants in the basements and upper floors in addition to local cafes and restaurants.

The cost performance was also very good. The room was also spacious. It's a bit disappointing that the wall is so thin. It's a convenient place to go anywhere. There is also a night market nearby. There is also a 7-Eleven and Lawson across the street. very convenient. There is also a supermarket next door. I was very satisfied.

Yangmingshan National Park
The hotel has a beautiful and quiet environment; there is a separate bathroom in the room where you can soak in the hot springs to achieve a relaxing feeling and make you forget your worries! The exterior design of the house is dominated by log cabins, giving people the feeling of being in the forest.

Ximenting Commercial Area
Very good location. Just 2-3 min walk to ximending. The bust stop and mrt entrance are also very close. Something in my concern is clean issue. We asked for towel changing during our stay (4 nights) but they said we cant have the new one. We also need some room make up and put the sign on but no one come to clean it. Despite the clean issue i think everything is quite okay. Staff at the front desk is also helpful when ask for something.
