Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Taipei Ximen Reviews

This hotel is very new and clean. Location is excellent as it right smack in Ximending. The service staff are very helpful, courteous and spoke very good English too. For the same price, the other older hotels with lesser amenities are charging the same price. So it's definitely better staying in Solaria.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Solaria Hotel Taipei! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff Julie made us feel at home. She warmly welcomed us, helped assign a beautiful high-level room with a grand view, and patiently oriented us to all the facilities—the gym, smoke room, laundry, and breakfast restaurant. As first-time visitors to Taipei, we had many questions, and Julie answered each one with kindness and professionalism. She even walked us to the elevator and sent us up, which was such a thoughtful touch. Every time we passed the receptionist desk, Julie was there with her big smile, helping guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere that truly felt like home. At checkout, Ms. 欣育 was equally amazing, assisting us with moving our luggage downstairs so smoothly. The staff here are truly exceptional—attentive, efficient, and genuinely caring. The hotel itself is new, beautifully built, spotless, and very well managed. Its location is convenient for exploring Taipei, and the laundry facilities are easy to use. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and the hotel offers many thoughtful amenities designed for guest comfort. From beginning to end, our experience was perfect. We will definitely choose Solaria again whenever we return to Taipei. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, quality, and outstanding service!

The room was great and they even have a coffee/tea area on the reception floor.

It's our second stay at Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Taipei Ximen. Location is awesome and the train station is around five minutes away. Convenience stores are just beside the Hotel. They also provide complimentary coffee, tea, bottled water and even ice. Hotel service staff are friendly and helpful. Overall it's a very nice experience. Looking forward to our next stay again.

All was fine up till 1h before check out. I was changing, and at the side of my eye I could see someone opening my room door. I can only presume it was the hotel staff, as I only managed to see his/her arm. Didn’t press the door bell, just opened the door (the DND wasn’t turned on; I would have heard the bell if pressed). Realising there were occupants in the room, the staff attempted to retreat and close the door stealthily. This is a serious breach of privacy - imagine if it was my wife who was changing! I sounded this out to the concierge when checking out. I invite them to write back after their investigations.

This is a Japanese-style hotel, and it certainly aligns with Japanese standards in many ways – specifically, the extremely small room size and high price. The staff were superficially polite, but I found them to be quite cold. Their deep, ninety-degree bows didn't manage to make me feel welcome or at home. Similar to hotels in Japan, the check-out time was exceptionally early. As I only arrived in the early hours of the morning, I had to negotiate for quite some time just to be reluctantly granted an extra 30 minutes for check-out. Consequently, I barely managed a few hours of sleep before I had to get up. What's more, it seems Taipei hotels universally do not provide toiletries, nor do they have any available for international visitors. This meant I had to venture out to a convenience store in the middle of the night to purchase them, which felt incredibly inconvenient and utterly lacking in guest consideration.

What an amazing hotel. Just a short distance away from the Ximending night market. Around 2 minute walk. What I love about the hotel is, it’s so near the market, but not in the market where there’s too much noise/activity. It’s close to all the known food places and about 300 meters from the biggest 7-11 (Sanrio) store. 😊 The hotel itself had free coffee/tea/water on the 6th floor. Laundry was so cheap. There’s a gym too. We tried the breakfast buffet and it was good! A but pricey (600 NTD per person), but I think it’s worth it if you don’t want to go out. But if you don’t want to spend that much, to the side of the hotel is a 24 hour shop that sells good egg sandwiches. Or you can go to Family Mart, which is only a few steps further. Again, the best hotel for its price. Very clean and smells really good.

The location and cleanliness of the hotel are good. I am so happy that there is an ice maker. I will definitely consider this as my number one hotel if I am going to Taipei again.

Excellent location, neat and tidy room, a bit pricey though

Great location but not a great experience. Due to the flight I checked in at round midnight. Unfortunately found three lights couldn’t be turned off then called the front desk. They sent technician to check suggested to either change the room or take the light off. I chose the latter as it was 0130 already. Eventually I changed the room, no other choice, the staffs just handled it per standard protocol, didn’t see it as unique incident thus didn’t offer more help. BTW, all the towels seemed used for decades, hard and tough. The baggage storage is excellent!

Highly recommended!! It’s a 9.5/10👍🏻 - Location: Ximendin is just right at the corner and has a convenient store downstairs. - Staffs: they would greet you everytime when they see you. - Room layout and facilities: I love how they separate the toilet and the bathroom! And the TV can play YouTube!! - Amenities: good that they have a coffee bar, coin laundry machine and gym that you can access easily daily. Wish they have a swimming pool.

The hotel had a good overall design and located at XiMenDing. Easily accessible through the Metro line.I especially love the room design where the toilet is separated away from the shower. Also prefer the room cleaning service to be in the afternoon on the next day so that we do not need to wake up early and rush out. The receptionists also will greet you warmly whenever you are coming back or going out of the hotel. The only inconvenience was probably the laundry service is not free and the dryer was not that hot despite the high temperature being chosen. The clothes were in the dryer for 30mins but there were still some parts of it being wet. Nonetheless, would still choose this hotel.

Very convenient location. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Room is spacious and clean with bath tub.

The hotel is well maintained and very clean, with a convenient location that makes travel easy. Would recommend for a comfortable stay.
