Overall, it's pretty good. It feels like a once-famous hotel that's now under new management and starting fresh. They seem to be short-staffed, and the service isn't quite up to par yet. Both times I checked in, I was told my room wasn't ready. The first time at 2:30 PM was a bit early, but the second time at 5:30 PM, they'd had plenty of time, yet the system still showed the room as unavailable. Although I eventually got a room, it highlighted their overall management disconnect. However, for a room rate of just over two thousand, it's still excellent value for money.

Nestled in the heart of Dunbei, right by the Taipei Arena, this building, steeped in classic memories, underwent a complete transformation in Q3 2026. The moment you step into the lobby, you're greeted by the exclusive, woody scent of ********* cypress, instantly shutting out the city's hustle and bustle. This stay was in a sophisticated room directly facing the tree canopy. Large windows brought the lush greenery of Dunbei's tree-lined avenues right into the interior. The minimalist design, paired with warm wooden furnishings, created an airy and stress-free space. The therapeutic details after a shower and the serene indirect lighting at night made me never want to check out. Whether you're in Taipei for an exhibition, a concert, or simply seeking a sensory oasis to slow down in the city, this is my top recommendation for a recent stay.

Overall, it felt like there were too many mirrors, making it more like a love hotel. The hotel's design was essentially a slight modification of the previous two hotels. However, during the trial operation, the front desk lacked cutlery and umbrellas for loan, which could be improved. Also, the red light on the fire exit door was quite scary after turning off the lights... it was so terrifyingly red that I dared not turn off the lights to sleep.

This hotel's facilities are all quite new and clean, plus the room is quite spacious, which was convenient for two people with two large suitcases. It's located near the Taipei Arena and Raohe Night Market, making it a pretty good choice. However, it's a bit far from Ximending.

The Wi-Fi signal in the room was extremely poor; I could only connect near the door. The sound insulation wasn't great due to its proximity to the main road, and I was woken up early by traffic noise. However, the location and cleanliness were excellent.

There weren't enough front desk staff, and I had to wait quite a while to check in. I even overheard staff complaining about guests. The shower made a really strange noise when in use, and the room's furniture looked like a cheap imitation, which was off-putting.

The room didn't come with complimentary water bottles, but there was a water dispenser in the hallway.

The staff were very friendly. However, the hotel's renovation from old to new wasn't very well done. The bed sheets were yellow and hadn't been changed, and the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. It felt like there weren't enough housekeeping staff. The hot water in the shower was too hot, and I couldn't get any cold water. For Taiwan, the price was cheap, but there's a lot of room for improvement.
