It’s a horrible experience to stay in the Ark hotel. 1. I couldn’t imagine how tiny the space of inside the room that my wife and I were suffering from no where to stand, open our luggage and hang up our clothes, etc. 2. Bad is very dirty with some visible objects and hairs that causing us uncomfortable feelings during the bedtime. 3. Room is always bothering with noises due to no sound proofing of the windows.  4. Washroom is also very tight and weird design.  For example, there’s no space to stand when door is open.  And the shower assembly is very hard to manage when switching hot water supply, etc.  overall, I am very disappointed that trip.com listed this hotel for the traveller and I felt I am cheated and unfairly charged so much money for a unqualified hotel.  In addition, I highly recommend not listening this hotel on the website.

Had a fantastic stay at Ark Hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained—perfect for a 3-night stay in Taipei. Excellent location, friendly staff, and smooth check-in/check-out experience. Great value for money and would definitely book again when back in the city!

Pros: Close to the subway station (Exits 5 and 8 have escalators/elevators) and near Din Tai Fung, so you can grab a ticket and go back to the room to rest while waiting. There are many great restaurants nearby. Cons: We were assigned a room on the 5th floor. You have to take the elevator to the 4th floor and then walk up the stairs to the 5th floor, which is very inconvenient if you have large luggage. Two bottles of water are provided in the room, but they are not refilled once finished. You have to take the empty bottles to the 1st floor to refill them yourself. However, housekeeping threw away our empty bottles during room cleaning. The room is very small. A large suitcase can be opened fully, but there will be hardly any space left to walk. For a weekend night, it cost around 1,000 HKD, which feels like rather poor value for money.

The accommodation is clean, and its location near the train station is very convenient for getting around 👍🏻

The location is absolutely perfect, with tons of food options nearby, making it super convenient to grab a bite. The hotel facilities are basic but good, and the cleanliness was excellent. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, and the breakfast was ample and delicious. Other staff members were also very friendly and accommodating.

The only upside is its proximity to Dongmen MRT Station. The website information is incorrect as they don't offer breakfast for purchase. I stayed for three nights, and they never changed the pillowcases or bedsheets.

Great location near Dongmen MRT station. Close to Daan Park, Ding Tai Fung, Yongkang Street, and walking distance from Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Room itself is clean and comfortable but did not quite meet my expectations as a “room with window”. Nevertheless I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Clean and spacious.

The hotel is great. Clean and the room was large. There was free snacks at the lobby and also a water dispenser. However my room was facing the road and it can get noisy sometimes. Ear plugs are provided but not keen to use them.

The location was good, but the room is so small, and bad smell from the bathroom drain made me headache.
