I stayed here eight years ago, and the rooms feel renovated. The old long-stemmed keys have been replaced with key cards. The view is still beautiful. I didn't book breakfast this time, but the hotel's cafe is quite good.

The shuttle driver was incredibly helpful, providing clear directions that solved all our transportation worries. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious local specialties. The room was clean and spacious. This time I chose the Grand Kirin Room, and the view of Taipei 101 was excellent! The hotel's service was also great. The Grand Hotel offered me a completely different stay experience, taking me back to a historical setting. I also experienced the East Secret Passage, which cost NT$500 per person. One of the most iconic hotel in Taiwan, especially the Grand Hotel - Taipei, elegant deco all the way from lobby to the room. The Grand Hotel didn't disappoint us, whether the facility, hospitality, entertainment, foods and scenic/view from hotel. Everything was excellent, hotel also have shuttle to nearby MRT station every 30 mins, both driver & staffs were very friendly and helpful. We also did the tour to west gate secret passage, the guide has lot of knowledge about the history and explained the background, history of how the Grand become today's The Grand hotel. We tried two of the restaurants on ground floor next to the lobby, they were both very nice & gave all flavors Taiwan has to offer. We would stay here again next time if we visit again & highly recommend for anyone to try at least once in your lifetime.

It's appropriately called the grand hotel. The entry is grand and the room is pretty big with a grand view of Taipei at night. It also had a direct shuttle to the airport which happen to fit perfectly with our flight schedule at 1:40pm in the afternoon. I gave everything a 5 because we enjoyed the stay, but we didn’t use much of the hotel other than to enjoy the grandness of the place. Breakfast was at an additional cost which made the stay a bit pricey but it was a grand send off to conclude our Taiwan trip.

The hotel is excellent in terms of service, the indoor environment and the atmosphere, the staff are so nice and helpful, just the location is not that convenient, but they still offer frequent shuttle bus between MRT stations.

Had a great experience! The front desk staff who checked us in was incredibly patient and polite. They even took the time to show us a shortcut down to Shilin Night Market on a map, which was really helpful. Room service was fantastic – we asked for extra water and it was delivered to our room very quickly, along with a warm greeting. The only minor downside was that our room faced the back hill, and there was some construction going on below. Opening the balcony door during construction was quite noisy, but once we closed it, we could barely hear anything, so the soundproofing was excellent.

Located in Yuanshan, right next to the Martyrs' Shrine and Shilin Official Residence, it's quite suitable for tourists. The environment is excellent, and the lobby is grand and impressive, giving off a distinct sense of Chinese culture. There's also a convenience store within the hotel.
