I usually stay at hotels that are part of international hotel chains, but unfortunately, there aren’t many options from the hotel chains I normally stay with in Taiwan. I chose this hotel because it was the first one that came up in my search and the reviews were generally quite good.
There are definitely some positive points. The housekeeping was excellent — the room was clean, tidy, and cleaned thoroughly throughout my 7-night stay. The hotel is also in a great location, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. One feature I particularly liked was the automatic toilet, which was a nice touch and one of the reasons I’m giving the hotel 3.5 stars instead of 3.
However, I have stayed at many genuine five-star hotels from international hotel chains, and based on my experience, I don’t think this hotel quite meets the standard of a five-star property.
I booked a three-bed room, but the room felt quite small for three people. Even though there were two chairs at the desk, the desk itself was so small that it was basically full even when only one person was using it. For a room designed for three guests, I expected the workspace and overall usable space to be more practical.
There were also some parts of the room that could use maintenance. For example, there was a section of the floor that felt uneven and slightly sunken when walking over it. These details may seem minor, but they are noticeable and not what I would expect from a hotel that presents itself as five-star.
I also expected some basic amenities, such as a razor, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and bottled water, but none of these were provided. While the shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, and body lotion were all from the same line and had the same scent, there was no conditioner, which was surprising for a five-star hotel.
The water system was also inconvenient. Guests have to get drinking water from a filtration machine themselves, and if you want a water pitcher, you have to request one. I understand that the hotel may be trying to reduce plastic waste and be more environmentally friendly, which I appreciate. However, in that case, a reusable water pitcher or glass bottle should be provided in the room from the beginning rather than making guests request one.
The toilet area was also extremely small. Although I liked the automatic toilet, the bathroom door did not close properly. Even when closed, there was still a noticeable gap, which again is not what I would expect from a five-star property.
Another issue was early check-in. I arrived several hours before the official check-in time and asked if I could check in early, but the hotel said I would have to pay for an additional full night. I found this particularly unreasonable considering that I was staying at the hotel for 7 nights. For a guest staying that long, I would expect the hotel to be a little more flexible and accommodating with early check-in, especially if the room was available. I would have understood a reasonable early check-in fee, perhaps 30–50% of the room rate, but charging an entire additional night felt excessive.
To be honest, I have even stayed at non-chain three-star hotels that provided a better overall experience than this. That is why I find it difficult to consider this property a true five-star hotel.
Overall, the hotel has a great location, fast Wi-Fi, excellent housekeeping, and some nice features such as the automatic toilet. However, considering the room size, limited amenities, maintenance issues, bathroom design, water system, and especially the early check-in policy, I feel this hotel is closer to a good four-star property than a true five-star hotel.
If I were rating the hotel purely based on the room and overall five-star standard, I would probably give it 3 stars. However, because of the automatic toilet, fast Wi-Fi, good location, and excellent housekeeping, I’m giving it 3.5 stars overall.

The service and hygiene were acceptable for the price, but the facilities were truly disappointing. Just look at my bathroom! I can't believe this is a five-star hotel. I brought it to their attention, and they offered to switch me to another room. However, after checking the new room, I found the bathroom still had issues, although not as severe as the one I was in. After discussing it with my son, we decided to keep our current room to avoid the hassle of repacking. But for a five-star hotel, is this the kind of bathroom quality one should expect? I booked this hotel specifically because it was five-star, and I never imagined it would be this bad. I'm willing to pay more for a better environment, but this experience has taught me that you get what you pay for. I've learned my lesson for next time!

I had a one-night stay here before going back home, so i didn't use the facility much. The location was nice, an escape from a crowded area, probably next time I must visit again.

Been booking the hotel for the second time in two months! This time round the floor level is great, 29th, second highest floor.
Their junior suite is very big, a living room area with an L shaped sofa to sit or lie down while watching the tv.
Room view is great, facing the Wanhua district. On clear days you can even see the mountain range!
Bathroom comes with a bathtub and separate cubicle for toilet bowl and shower area. Comes with two sinks too!
A hotel i will always book when I come to Taipei.

Had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed with a modern industrial style. The bed was very comfortable, and the large window offered a lovely view that made the room feel bright and relaxing. Waking up to the peaceful scenery was definitely one of the highlights of my stay.

Due to the typhoon, our flight was delayed, and we arrived at the hotel at 1140pm. There was 3 staff available but when we approached to the counter, the chubby male stuff (forgot to take his name), pointed at the self check-in kiosk and told us to go do it ourselves. Very unfriendly and rude! We were tired and this is the last thing we need after a long delay. Stressful going through all the unclear procedures and complication. As the booking was in 3 passengers name, the first name used failed to check in after the passport was scanned. I went to the counter to ask for help, and the staff member's face was black. Worse experience ever. Hotel is definitely overrated. The room carpet is old and dirty and worse is there is a leak, the brown carpet is constantly wet (please refer to photo). Also, on our 3rd day of our stay the room was not cleaned, came back the 2 bags of rubbish were still there, and there were no fresh towels. Lesson learned, can't trust the hotel reviews😩
Lastly, there are 6 lifts and it’s forever waiting, definitely not enough elevators to accommodate. Poor!

Located in a bustling commercial area, it's within walking distance to various shops and attractions. The rooms are spotless, well-equipped, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. It's quiet, not noisy, and offers outstanding value for money. A top choice for accommodation when visiting Taipei.

The room is not large, but the design is well-thought-out, and it's clean. The hotel's location is super convenient, right above Wanhua Taiwan Railway Station. Longshan Temple MRT Station and Guangzhou Street Night Market are all within walking distance. Plus, there are many famous local eateries nearby. Most of the guests are from Korea and Japan. The only minor issue is that there are quite a few guests but only a few elevators, so you might have to wait a bit longer during peak hours. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Taipei.

The hotel's location is super convenient, not far from the MRT station. There are plenty of convenience stores, shops, and a night market nearby, making it easy to get around. The rooms are newly renovated, have lots of TV channels, and a bidet toilet. The large floor-to-ceiling windows are a nice touch, and the hotel's decor is quite upscale, offering great value for its price. However, prices do double during holidays. It's popular with international, Japanese, and Korean travelers, and clearly has a good reputation. Last time, I wanted to switch rooms due to the floor, and the hotel staff were very helpful. Overall, it's excellent.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my 2 other friends. Hotel room is big enough for a comfortable stay. The view outside the window is very nice too. The hotel does not provide any disposable amenities so you have to bring/buy your own. The bed is very comfortable but the pillow is a little too soft for my liking. Waiting for the lift is very slow. Location of the hotel is good and convenient. Short walk from the metro station. There’s a supermarket nearby for some light grocery run.

Room is clean , location is good . Few minutes walk to longshan temple station . There are a few bus stops around too . 7-11 is also just beside the hotel . Most of the staff are helpful and friendly tho I encountered one staff in the reception counterwho was quite impatient while replying to my inquiries . Overall it was a pleasant stay .

My room type is super comfy. Love the spacious room and the place to put the luggage also very big and can put up to 6 pieces of luggage. If u got 4 pieces of luggage, u still can open the luggage at the luggage place. We placed one big wheelchair also won’t block the TV. Got a very nice view of the city. Recommended to stay at higher level to see better view. High recommended as we can get the Family Mart on Typhoon day as it is under cover from the hotel. Super convenient.

As a 5-star hotel, I don't think they should be promoting self check-in kiosks. A 5-star hotel should provide the expected service, not tell me to use a self check-in machine – I might as well book a 3-star hotel then. And if the self check-in machine wasn't bad enough, it even had problems. Check-in was supposed to start at 3 PM, but when I arrived at 4 PM, it said my room wasn't ready yet? Then I had to go back to the front desk to sort it out. If the machines are so unreliable, why not just let guests check in at the front desk?
Furthermore, before checking in, I specifically requested a high floor, and the hotel even replied that for my room type, the highest floor available was the 29th, which shows they saw my note. Yet, upon check-in, I was assigned the lowest available floor, the 12th. I had to request a change again to get moved to the 18th floor – it's just speechless.
And to top it off, I can overlook the lack of toothbrushes and toothpaste, but shouldn't a room at least come with two bottles of mineral water as standard? I know there's a water dispenser on every floor, but I'm a tourist. Do you expect me to carry a bottle around everywhere? There's a limit to how 'eco-friendly' one can be.

Room condition was new and excellent. Staff at reception were all very polite and courteous too and accommodated all requests and queries professionally. Great location just above the train station with plenty of convenience stores nearby. Would stay here again for sure.
