Beautiful interior and helpful staff, they are responsive to the service you need👍🏼Different varieties of food in the breakfast buffet👍🏼 There is Shilin night market nearby and the hotel is walkable distance to metro station, however it is not really located in the city center so we use Uber most of the time.. Overall is a pleasant stay and will book the same type of room next time visit Taipei!👍🏼

Standard room. It’s full house so we were not able to book the room type we wanted. It’s a good experience in general. Even though many tourists visit the hotel as a sightseeing point, all staff are treating everyone with kindness. The signature point is the building itself… every corner is a photo point~ it’s interesting to learn its history as well. Must revisit and will book early to get a better room type next time .

Parking at the door is a bit difficult and you need to get on and off quickly. There are many delicious things in the alley behind the hotel, such as pork rice, mutton shabu-shabu, and smelly hotpot. Small The supermarket is very convenient. The room has a small balcony where you can drink tea and watch the scenery.

We stayed for 5 nights, a quiet hotel as what other comments mentioned, a nice hotel without many people, as it only got around 40 guest rooms. It has no nearby shops, other than an Italian restaurant (boulevard Café – quite a good restaurant) and a convenient store. We travelled all by taxi, around US12 each trip to and from city centre. To airport, dependent on which route the driver chose, we paid US48 to hotel, and US35. It was not too difficult to wait for taxi, the most was around 10 min. Wifi is fast but stopped for 10-15 min in 2-3 nights during our stay. Our room is not as big as 33 sq m as stated in the website, I think this is around 23 sq m, with 2 beds, a bath room and wardrobe, and a table, a table for the fridge and a cabinet. So there is no sofa in the room, one of us had to sit on the bed. The bath room is spacious with a bath tub. The design is a bit interesting, water easily splashed out making the whole floor wet even they got curtain. Breakfast was delicious and one has to order from the set menu, with quite a no of choices, Chinese and western style. The environment of the restaurant is good, the window is from floor to ceiling on one side of the restaurant, overlooking the road with green mountains in the far end, trees and moving cars outside of the restaurant. Staff was sufficient to take care of my request. There are also free self-serviced laundry, daily supply of fruits and 2 can of cold drinks / 2 bottled water. One can do hiking to nearby parks, but we failed to walk there, and ended up stopped in a restaurant that served chi food but with ponds that allow you to fish the Thai shrimps and baked / consume on the spot. This is a nice hotel and it gives you a different feeling that commercial hotel cannot provide to you.

I stayed in a superior triple room on Saturday. The equipment seems to be a bit historical. The bed is very large and the single bed is very elastic. New hotel and modern. Loved the coffee machine and all snacks and drinks were part of the room booking. Hotel was just 2 mins away from MRT Jiantan exit 2 and walking distance to Shilin Night Market. Mountain view. The jacuzzi bathtub provided a good soak after a day of walking/shopping/feasting. The housekeeper forgot to place a new set of towels on day 2 which was an unpleasant experience.

A waitress at the front desk of the breakfast restaurant is very warm and polite when greeting guests, and the staff is also very active and efficient👍 The only drawback is that there is a female waitress at the front desk on the first floor who has a cold attitude and bad tone. The rest of the staff are very polite but lack the smile + enthusiasm of the service industry... The working mentality is understandable, but it would be better if we can increase the warmth of the service!

Pretty decent location and condition for this price. The only defect is probably the check-in procedure. The first step is to contact the staff via Line, which the QR code is above the number lock at the entrance and I saw a couple of people not being aware of it, then provide with them a photo of your passport. After that, you’ll get two sets of passcodes, one for the main entrance and another one for the box storing your keycards. The procedure is alright if you understand written Chinese, and preferably speak Mandarin, but definitely hard if you are neither.

I stayed in room 205. The light closest to the TV was malfunctioning and kept flickering. The bathroom door could not be locked. I hope the industry can take care of it in the future. There are a lot of ants on the table. There was a machine running in the room that sounded like it was coming from the ceiling. People who are sensitive to noise may want to consider this. Check-in time is very early, you can check in at 15:00. There are attached tea bags and a quick-boil pot, as well as a refrigerator for use. Overall, the CP value is high.
