Taipei Zhongzheng District 4-star Hotels

The cleanliness of the hotel room is such a disappointment. The bathroom wall grouting & silicon was moldy, and spider webs were in the room. The TV and aircon vent were super dusty. The aircon, even off, was extremely cold. The overall cleanliness is terrible, with noticeable dust accumulating in several areas. It was disappointing and not up to the hygiene standards one would expect from a hotel room. To make matters worse, the cleanliness issues persisted even after the room was supposedly cleaned. The bathroom grouting remained moldy, spider webs lingered, and the attendant neglected to vacuum away the hairs on the floor. The bed has insects, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning. This consistent neglect of hygiene standards throughout my stay was disappointing and unacceptable. This lack of attention to detail further emphasized the subpar cleanliness standards, contributing to an unsatisfactory stay.

Saw pretty good reviews and booked this hotel. Was overall pleased with the cleanliness. Location wise was also ok, take Exit 5 from Ximen station. as we came with two huge luggage, we had to take the lift at Exit 6 instead. The layout and design is modern with some clever touches of functionality as well. Reccomended! Breakfast spread is also decent to start the day.

The buffet breakfast was in a spacious restaurant and had a decent variety of dishes. My favourite was the porridge and condiments. Nearby, there are convenient stores and also more shops underground leading to the trains, one of them is Mister Donut. The location was perfect for us. The hotel is just a couple of minutes away from Taipei Main Station and the pick-up point for day tour buses. The facilities and amenities were sufficient for us. The room was clean and comfortable, and had a view of Taipei Main Station. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were attentive, polite and helpful. I will choose Cosmos again when I visit Taipei again.

Love the big window and the big bed though my room has the window partition. Very convenient from beimen mrt and bus stop to 九份！Hassle free during check in and out. PS: Will be good if the hotel room has a boiling kettle as going down to L2 to fill up warm water might be slightly inconvenient though the canteen is open 24/7. Suggestion to have free snacks and drinks like other hotels.

Location was great with just 3mins walking distance to the train station. The hotel is thoughtful with the extension of welcome drink till 11pm where you can chill at the dining place when you are back. Hotel is new and clean! Definitely a good catch!

nice family room with 2 double beds and comes with a bath tub. total 4 pillows per bed. bed and pillows are good - not too hard or soft. sufficient power points. room is clean. 4 bottles of water replenish everyday. also provides a safe and mini fridge and hair dryer. near ximending with a lot of food options. a short walking distance to mtr. many convenience shops around the hotels. able to do laundry and dry the clothes with no additional charges. free cup noodles from 10pm to midnight. free coffee, snacks, water, milk tea at b1. staff are courteous. room is not so soundproof. able to hear people talking in the room at lift lobby. lift lobby can hold up to 6 to 7 people max. might need to wait a while during peak hours. overall the staying experience in this hotel is good.

Convenient location just steps away from shandao temple station exit 6! Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious. Really liked the spacious room! Breakfast spread could be better, had a variety of Chinese but lacking some western.

The room is very impressive and warm, the location is in the middle and you can go anywhere (e.g. national taiwan museum, huashan creative park, etc) by bus with an acceptable time. Staffs are nice too. Afterall, this is a nice place to relax yourself in Taipei! Here is the view from the room.

This location is very close to Ximending, about 5 minutes' walk away. The hotel includes a breakfast buffet with rich and fresh food. Service is courteous and friendly. There is a massage parlor, convenience store, breakfast shop, pharmacy and bank downstairs. 10 points convenient. There is a laundromat about 5 minutes behind the hotel. Various living supporting measures are complete. 

I decided to book this hotel at the last minute, because I screened the list of hotels, and the other hotels were full in the days we were staying (December 24-26). The pictures on the Jinlai Business Travel website are not attractive at all, but the online reviews are not bad, so I also made it one of my choices. The appearance of the hotel is not beautiful at all, it is also located on an old street with a dilapidated hawker market inside. The name of Jinlai Business Travel is very localized in China, the soil is earthy, and the LOGO is also designed very practical. The first impression I have is not very good. Because we came late and had a child, I reminded the hotel the day before we arrived to help us prepare the room and make sure it was a non-smoking room. They immediately replied that no problem. But when we arrived there, we found that the room smelled of smoke, other rooms were full, and we could not help us change the room. The waiter kept apologizing, and used the ozone machine to make the room fresher, and came over again the next day. The place to eat breakfast was great, but in my opinion, the food was just like it. Besides, the waiters in the breakfast room were very friendly and helpful, and there was nothing to complain about. There is free Wi-Fi or free broadband in the room, which is fast and very good. Not close to the subway station, you have to spend 200 NT$ to take a taxi to the department store, 100 NT$ to Da'an Zhongxiao Metro Line 4, and walk 15 minutes to Ding Taifeng Food Restaurant and Yongkang Street. If the weather is cool, walking is very enjoyable, but it is a crime to walk in the rain/cold winter/hot summer. It is so close to walking, there is no need to take a taxi, but this road is not very easy to walk. Because of the location, if I have other options, I will definitely not come again. But what I have to say is that it is still good value for money and the waiters are good.
