More than 10 years ago, I stayed in Taishan Gaoye Hotel and was impressed by this hotel. It is a well established, well equipped hotel and within walking distance to the pedestrians mall and shops. I highly recommended this hotel for its convenience. It will be great if the lighting in the room are adjustable as it is a bit dark in my allocated room. The WC has better lighting than the room itself. I will still return to this hotel when I’m in Taicheng.

New hotel in perfect location. Stepping out to a big mall and bus stop to and from Hongkong Airport. Good breakfast variety to start the day. Staffs are nice and friendly. Highly recommended 👍🏻

New World hotel is truly a world class hotel. The hotel layout is huge and the hotel lobby leading to the lift lobby has mesmerising ceiling art not unlike Sistine Chapel. Check in was quite swift. We met Ki Ki and she is indeed very kind, helpful and patient with us; going beyond extra miles in helping us navigating the city, booking cab, introducing good restaurants & even helping us to find & locate our ancestor's village by contacting the relevant association! I have to say she is a true gem in the hotel! Our heartfelt gratitude and appreciations go beyond words for her.

I stayed at this hotel during a recent trip, and it was truly one of the best places to unwind after a long day. The interior design stood out—elegant and far superior to any hotel I’ve visited before. The staff were attentive, respectful, and quick to assist with my check-in, along with a complimentary breakfast voucher. The room itself was spotless, featuring a super comfortable bed, free bottled water, tea, and a range of amenities. Everything felt clean, fresh, and well-maintained. The breakfast was also a highlight, with a great variety of fruits, drinks, and delicious traditional Chinese dishes. While many nearby hotels offered similar pricing, none came close to matching the level of comfort, luxury, and attention to detail I experienced here. This hotel truly delivered a premium stay without the premium price tag. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a relaxing stay.

Easter trip with the family, stayed here after Kaiping rural historical villages and diaolou exploration. For some city time. Clean neat new hotel. Good Non smoking rooms. Nice bathrooms, japanese style automatic toilets. Simple okay buffet breakfast, fresh coffee, mostly Chinese style breakfast. Our family had a good time. Booked a double for us and a twin room for the kids. There is a bit of a music bass noise in the evening due to next door night club. Was mentioned in the booking. No real problem for us. We enjoyed the giant modern Chain mall a short drive away for dinner and shopping. The old city centre is also good for meals and the sights.

This is my second stay. Overall, I feel that it is still very cost-effective. I have stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Taishan. Although it is very good, it is also expensive. I have stayed at a very ordinary hotel, which is cheap but feels average. I have also stayed at a homestay apartment, which is good in all aspects except that there is no service and no breakfast. So this one should be more in line with our requirements. The breakfast is still rich and varied, and there is also a free midnight snack. The staff is still very enthusiastic.

This time I went back to Taishan to visit my family. I just got off the highway and passed by. I felt it was very good. It is a new hotel. The overall experience exceeded my expectations! The hotel is very conveniently located, just a few minutes' walk from my relatives' home, and next to Changdachang Plaza. The front desk service was particularly considerate. When they learned that I was staying to visit my relatives, they took the initiative to upgrade the quiet room. The room is clean and comfortable, the bedding is soft and clean, and the sound insulation effect is very good. Even my mother, who is a light sleeper, praised her for sleeping well when she stayed for a night. Special thanks to the room aunt. She found that we brought the elderly and prepared a few more pairs of soft slippers. The details are touching! The hotel also provides free laundry service. When checking out, they also helped to call a taxi and gave souvenirs. Such a hotel with attentive service will definitely be chosen again next time I visit my relatives!

I reserved the 2-bed Room and it looks like this building was built as an apartment. This unit was two levels, which they split the lower level as a hotel room and the upper level as a short term apartment rental. Fortunately it was not occupied. Could have been noisy. Noise from the hallway was already a little too much. One last complaint was the toilet being in the shower room. Very bad setup. However I might stay here again just for the breakfast. It was included in my room booking. Very good varieties and tasty! Front desk girl is very hard working and courteous. Thanks for your help!

The hotel is relatively new as compared to some of the other ones in the neighborhood. The room we booked was nice and clean. Unfortunately, they don’t have a fridge in the room which is inconvenient. The breakfast included was plentiful but quality is mediocre. But, this is no complaints considering this used to be a rural area of Kaiping. There are a few variety stores in close proximity that you can get some fruits and drinks so that is good. Will stay there again next time.

I visit Taishan 3 or 4 times a year during the last couple of years and Mandarin Elegant Hotel has been my go-to hotel most of time. The room and beds are very comfortable. I like the location. it is close to a mall with good selection of shops and restaurants; walking distance to the HK airport bus; buses to Kowloon departures from the hotel and it is about 15 mins ride to Taishan Station and the Taishan bus station. Stuff is very responsive for my issues. The most recent visit, a group of ten of my family member stayed at this hotel and everyone was very satisfied with the place.
