Luminous Hot Spring Resort

It's great that there's a direct shuttle to Luye Highland for the hot air balloon festival. The return shuttle also waits early on-site, so if you're sensitive to the heat or have taken enough photos, you can board early to enjoy the air conditioning. It departs once full. The six-person duplex room was spacious and comfortable with a nice ambiance. The afternoon tea and dinner buffet were satisfying. The late-night snack and breakfast were also good! 😄 There's shuttle service from both Luye and Taitung stations, and the drivers are all very friendly. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, so no worries about going hungry. 🤭

Not worth the price. The hotel is old and overpriced. Although it includes 4 meals, the food overall was just not good, a far cry from how it used to be a few years ago. The hotel also lacks amenities.

The room type I stayed in this time wasn't as ideal as I'd imagined; I wouldn't want to stay here a second time. I didn't use the facilities, so I can't comment on them. As for breakfast, I walked around and had no idea where to start, but maybe I'm just too picky...

The shower head in the bathroom was almost broken, and the bathtub had white stains around the edges, which made me hesitant to use it. That was a bit disappointing. However, the staff were very friendly. They greeted us at the main entrance, helped with our luggage, and even reminded us to throw away trash from the car along the way. 👍

The hot water in the room wasn't hot enough, so I called the reception desk to request a room inspection. After waiting an hour, a staff member knocked on the door and entered without even taking off their shoes. After the inspection, they said a technician would come to fix it, and I had to wait another hour. The service was terrible. I will not recommend this service to friends or family, and I will not return. Disappointed.

👍🏻Close to Luye Highland, only a 15-minute drive away, with shuttle buses available. 👍🏻Baby bathtubs, cribs, and sterilizers are provided. 👍🏻Bathrooms have separate wet and dry areas, allowing for hot spring bathing. 👍🏻There is a children's play area, but it's quite basic (just a ball pool) and an infinity pool (the water is heated). 👍🏻Welcome drinks are available in the hallway 24 hours a day. 👍🏻Breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks are also available. The food is varied and delicious, and you can make your own juice. 👍🏻The bathroom door handle fell off at night, but it was immediately fixed after I notified the front desk. 👎🏻The air conditioning in the public areas and the restaurant wasn't very cool, and the room temperature couldn't be adjusted. I sweated even when sleeping and eating. 👎🏻The path outside to see the sika deer was muddy due to the rain, making it easy to slip. 👎🏻Because it's surrounded by jungle, flies, mosquitoes, and cockroaches can be seen in the room.

We stayed in a tatami room. The small table was covered in dust and dirt, suggesting poor cleaning. The air conditioning was quite cold. There were sika deer in the park, but there was no odor. The deer were friendly and healthy, and the children loved them. The breakfast was bland and unappetizing, with the only good thing being the freshly brewed coffee. There were adorable cats outside the hotel, and we even encountered guests bringing their adorable giant poodles. This pet-friendly establishment is a real plus, and we really appreciate it. Location: We arrived right after the hot air balloon flight, so we didn't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic back into the city. The location was great.
