JR CLEMENT INN TAKAMATSU HYOGOMACHI

I've been using this hotel since it was the Tokyu REI Hotel because of its convenient access to my business trip destinations and the airport limousine bus stopping right in front. I travel all over the country for business, but the breakfast buffet here is the worst. I understand that it's a budget hotel, so some things are to be expected, but hotels that don't prioritize breakfast will eventually lose customer support. I'm considering staying at a different hotel next time.

The hotel has been completely renovated and the environment is pleasant. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the station, so the location is quite convenient, and there's a drugstore and convenience store right downstairs. However, the hygiene could be improved...

The hotel is new and well-equipped. It's also very close to the station, with a supermarket downstairs and a shopping street right across the road, making it convenient for dining and shopping. The breakfast was good, and it offers good value for money.

This was my second stay, and it was just as good as the first. The room was very clean and well-equipped. You can go shopping right downstairs, and it's about a 10-minute walk to the JR station. There's also a convenience store and a pharmacy downstairs.

Getting from Fukuyama to Takamatsu was quite convenient – JR to Okayama, then a bus. The hotel is located right next to the lively Hyogomachi district. It's about a 12-13 minute walk from Takamatsu Station, or you can take a bus for two stops. The hotel lobby offers various drinks, coffee, and snacks, which was a nice, cozy touch. Very good.

The hotel environment is very comfortable, the room size is just right, and the location is also very convenient, close to Takamatsu Station, the ferry terminal, and the Kotohira train station, making it very easy to get to attractions. The only downside is that there's no daily bottled water supply; you only get a voucher for two bottles when housekeeping cleans your room. Overall, this hotel is still highly recommended.

The hotel staff were all very kind. The amenities were excellent and well-stocked, which was a nice touch. Although the room was a bit small and I couldn't fully open my suitcase, it was exceptionally clean. I especially appreciated the complimentary soft drinks, wine, chocolates, and snacks – that was a delightful surprise.

I heard this hotel reopened in July 2026 after a renovation, so it looks quite new. The rooms are spacious and comfortable enough. You definitely have to try the breakfast here; it's both plentiful and delicious. The variety of facilities in the second-floor lobby is great, and I really appreciated being able to choose my own pillows, amenities, and drinks. Most importantly, the location is truly excellent. The hotel is just a few steps from the station, with a drug store and Lawson convenience store nearby, making it super convenient. If you're visiting Takamatsu city center, I highly recommend this place.

There's a Lawson convenience store and a pharmacy on the first floor, and an arcade across the street, which made sightseeing really convenient.
