Hotel and Spa Gift Takayama Reviews

The location is good, not far from Takayama Station and the old town area. You can easily walk to important spots in the city, such as the Miyagawa morning market, convenience stores, and yakiniku restaurants. There is a parking lot for guests. The receptionists can speak English well. There is online check-in in advance, so the actual check-in at the hotel does not take long, although it can take a bit longer during busy periods. The room is quite spacious. Everything else is standard for a hotel. The hotel has a public hot spring bath with good quality water, but it was very busy during the time I went. The lobby downstairs has ice, a microwave, and a coin-operated water dispenser. The breakfast is varied and tasty.

The hotel is nice and at good location. Very close to train station and bus terminal. The hotel provides free coffee and tea at the lobby which is very nice for cold weather. All staffs are very friendly and helpful. For sure, I will recommend friends for Gift Takayama.

Hotel rooms were big and clean. The onsen was lovely with a great view. Loved the ochazuke provided for supper. Will definitely recommend for friends and families to stay here.

The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Takayama Station. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel also has an onsen, which was super relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The front desk staff were very friendly as well. Five-star rating!

The hotel has nice rooms with fascinating view on the town. Rooms are clean and pretty big with needed amenities. The hotel has really nice onsen with water from the local hot spring, sauna and a nice spot for town and neighborhood observing. The hotel is pretty near the railway and bus stations, moreover it’s about 10 minutes walk for main historic part of Takayama. 酒店房间漂亮，可以欣赏到迷人的城镇景色。房间干净宽敞，设施齐全。酒店拥有很棒的温泉，水源来自当地温泉，还有桑拿房，是观察城镇和周边环境的好地方。酒店离火车站和汽车站很近，步行约10分钟即可到达高山的主要历史街区。

There are many hotels to choose from in Takayama. Considering the convenient transportation, proximity to Takayama Station, and the availability of hot springs, I was very satisfied with my stay 👍. The room had a beautiful view, with distant mountain scenery. Thumbs up 👍... Highly recommended!

This hotel in Takayama is excellent! It's very new, and the lobby is beautiful with small souvenirs available for purchase. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. On the top floor, there's a free hot spring bath, and they even offer free ice pops. After 9 PM, you can enjoy free Ochazuke (rice in soup). The room size is decent, and it's cleaned daily. The breakfast spread is also very rich and delicious. It's super convenient for sightseeing, as you can walk to many attractions. Plus, there are plenty of Hida beef restaurants nearby, and the bus stop for Shirakawa-go is also close by. Very satisfied with my stay!

The hotel is comfortable and location is near to attractions. Love this quiet little town. They provided kids pyjamas too. Lovely breakfast! Thank you and hope to come back again :)

Loved our room, so big! Great staff, friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast and the spa! Very clean place with amenities provided for holiday makers. Amazing, clean town. Must do the walking (hotel has a map), markets and folk village open air museum and the private houses. Mostly, all in walking distance. We came here from Shirakawa-go! VA from NZ

Hotel is close with the station. I booked room with breakfast, which was great. They have ochazuke for late dinner for free. Thay have onsen with Takayama mountain view also.

Hotel is located near to train and bus station, also only a few minutes away from Takayama Old Town. Breakfast was amazing! Room is also bigger than usual Japan hotel rooms. Will definitely stay here again
