Miyama Ouan
"I requested for vegetarian meal for my booked dinner. I sent the request to the hotel via Trip. I received a msg from Trip asking me if I am ok with diary products and dashi in my meal. I replied that I am ok. However, your staff failed to communicate with the Hotel. Instead your staff told me the hotel could not accommodate my request instead. WHen I checked in, the htel staff informed me that Trip had failed to update them my reply on (diary pdts and dahi) hence they could not provide me with the meal. I ended up half hungry at the end of the dinner and the breakfast next day as I were not given proper diet and could only eat the pickles and rice. This is the worst meal experience I had in my years of travelling. Terrible of Trip for not relaying my msg properly and terrible of the hotel for refusing to make arrangement to provide me with some veg meals when I explained the situation."

"A traditional Japanese tatami room with a private onsen, plus a public hot spring area as well. Their body scrub was absolutely amazing — my skin stayed smooth for days! Both the traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner were incredibly generous and delicious. Such a relaxing and authentic experience."
Resort Villa Takayama
Hoshino Resorts KAI Okuhida
"Excellent service. There was a heavy rain when I checked out, the staff bring a trolley and cover our luggages. Also help us put the luggage on car under heavy rain. Really appreciate 🙏🏻"
Hoshokaku
"Best Experience and nice place to relax!"
Livemax Resort Hida Takayama ~Garyu no Sato~
"It was amazing for the price. The spacious open-air bath was also great. However, the wifi reception was poor and cut out frequently."
Joyful Honoki
"The hotel is really suitable for self-driving people, and the price is quite cheap during the off-peak season, which is considered a very good value for money in the high mountain area. The hotel is conveniently located, driving to and from Takayama Old Street and taking a car to Kamikochi is easy to walk to the station and surrounding restaurants after getting off the car, which is very suitable for those who leave for Kamikochi tomorrow morning. I stayed in the tatami Japanese room, which is amazingly big, 3 people can walk around as they please, opening the luggage is very comfortable, there are some Japanese cabinets and window sill, sitting here drinking tea is quite a feel. The interior is clean and simple. The point is "one-stop-two-dinner", and I think the quality of the food is quite high. Dinner is a Japanese banquet, the dishes will not be gorgeous to burst, but the ingredients are fresh, the taste will not be sloppy, seafood, grilled fish, fried food is quite in place, with hot springs and sake, easy to eat satisfied. Breakfast is a set meal with rice, miso soup, fish, small dishes, eggs, etc. It is simple but quite thoughtful and is completely enough to replenish energy before heading to the highlands early in the morning."
