Barmouth Bay Holiday Park

Just spent a weekend in static van number 67 which is privately owned by Clare Rew. It's a lovely van with a homely feeling. The kitchen has modern equipment..microwave, air fryer, though we got mostly takeaways being in a short break. The main bedroom has ensuite and there are 2 other bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. ..a great hit water system. The lounge area is very comfortable. They allow 3 small dogs which was a bonus for us. This was a lovely lodge in a fantastic location. Beach is on the doorstep! Staff were friendly. Small park was good and clean. The negatives: Limited amenities on site, had arcades nearby but very run down. Although this wasn't a major issue as there's lots to do nearby. The main reason for not being 5 stars is the cleanliness. I called ahead to let the company know that my son has severe food allergies so I would appreciate the lodge being thoroughly cleaned (at other places we have had crumbs in the sofe from previous guests). I was really disappointed when we entered the lodge, the island worktop was covered in crumbs and the dining table had food on it too. This was disappointing as they should be the easiest parts to clean.

Booked a last minute trip and decided to treat ourselves to the 2 bed rooftop lodge at a bargain price. It was amazing!! We didn't know what to expect and had never been to Barmouth before. When we opened the door to the lodge we were gobsmacked as it was complete luxury, fully furnished with every utensil you could think of, washer, dishwasher, walk in wardrobe in both bedrooms, 2 bathrooms one with a bath. Cupboards were filled with things like books, playing cards and binoculars, and there was a cupboard full of cleaning items, and a couple of umbrellas, they thought of everything. There were sunbeds and rattan furniture and we didn't benefit from the rooftop view as it rained a lot of the time but did not bother us. It was steps ftom the beach and easy access for walking in a quiet part of the site, just what we needed. There were huge windows giving a lovely view of the sea and fields too. Sands was useful for the arcades, food and bar and we were happy with our 4 day break there even though the weather was bad. Would love to return in the summer months to make the most of the lodge again. All staff were lovely at check in and we will return. Thank you we will be back!

This was our second visit to this park we came in may and then booked a week in August. We asked for the same van as my son is autistic and it was familiar for him. We were delighted when we were granted our request. So close to the beach so a 2min stroll back which made our lives easier. Van was lovely and we loved the location and decking which we loved sitting on to have our dinner. We even extended our stay by a further two nights which made our day. No trouble in sorting with guest services. We love this park and can’t wait to return. See you soon :)

We have been coming here for 10+ years and have always had a thoroughly good time. The park is clean and tidy and well maintained. The caravan or Lodge which we have stayed in has always been clean and well stocked with everything we could require. The beach is only a few minutes away and is excellent. Finally, the staff are first class and couldn't be more helpful or friendly. A big thank you to everyone.
