1) Facilities + Cleanliness
The facilities were much cleaner and better maintained than I expected. There were so many comments about the carpet that I even brought a mat, but my elementary school-aged child was able to wear slippers around the room, so I didn't need it. The dehumidifier and bed guards I requested in advance were well installed, and they thoughtfully pushed the double beds together. The bed sheets were also clean. Housekeeping did clean the room once during my stay, but the floor didn't seem to be cleaned thoroughly, which is why I deducted one star. Also, the bathroom facilities looked a bit old, so I replaced the showerhead with a filtered one. I used it for the entire 3-night, 5-day stay, and the filter didn't discolour. However, the curtain in the bathtub was a bit old, worn out, and somewhat stained.
2) Service
The service was excellent; all the staff always greeted us with a smile and a 'Hafa Adai!' whenever we saw them, and they were very friendly. The Gold Pass card was fantastic as it allowed us to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and even eat at external restaurants. Everyone in my family is easy to please with food, so we had breakfast at Skylight every day during our stay, and the kids enjoyed it too! The hot dogs at Sheheki Snack Shack in the water park were really delicious, and it was great that beer was unlimited during lunch/dinner at Skylight. The Bistro restaurant inside the hotel also had delicious food for adults, but the kids' meals were just okay, so we shared the generous adult portions. For external dining, we tried Tony Roma's at the hotel opposite ours and Marugame Udon at Don Quijote, and both were delicious!
3) Location
The location was very satisfying, with Thunder Chicken and an ABC Store just across the road! There was also a free shuttle to Don Quijote, and it was close to the airport, which was a big plus.
