Nice and cozy place with a beautiful cottage design. The surroundings are green, peaceful, and very relaxing. The cool Cameron Highlands weather makes the stay even better. Clean, quiet, and perfect for a short getaway. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was good, but the bathtub lid was missing and should be fixed.

We stayed for 2 nights and were glad the hotel was located at Tanah Rata—otherwise, with the heavy traffic that day, we might not have been able to check in around 3 PM. The owner and staff were very friendly, always checking in on us and making sure we were comfortable. The room gave us a nostalgic feeling, as it was well maintained in its classic style, and the whole hotel itself carried that charming old-fashioned look. The atmosphere was cozy, peaceful, and felt like a step back in time. Overall, our stay was excellent, and we truly appreciated the warmth and hospitality.

The view, experience, environment, amenities, comfort are almost perfect, the only flaw is the water heater is inconsistent, we have to have cold shower in cold night

Strategic locations, just near to the city center and anywhere. Second time here deluxe room is spacial enough. No issue with the toilet and water heating is working fine. Building’s itself is a bit dated, wall is thin and outside noises is easily heard, but during the night everyone is sleeping so atmosphere stay quiet anyway.

It's suit to stay not more than 2 nights. Water heating system was no good as cold suddenly and hot suddenly. Need to bring own hair dryer if u need wash hair daily Most importantly, not recommend to elder people as shower room very slippery and no handrail in bath room.

I booked a suite, and there was an additional bed in the loft. I'm not sure if it's because of the recent continuous rain, but the bed in the loft had a very strong musty smell and was unusable. My wife, child, and I had to squeeze onto the double bed downstairs. The hotel's exterior is beautiful, nestled close to the mountains and forest, offering nice scenery and environment. However, there were snakes and lizards in the courtyard. I find this unacceptable and advise caution before booking. Another thing I need to complain about is the parking. It's difficult to turn around, and the parking spaces are cramped. If you're staying during a holiday, there simply aren't enough parking spots.

Room is clean but looks a bit old. We booked suite so we have talk about 62 steps climb up to the top to reach our unit. Bed is soft. Reception staff is polite. Location nice

Nice vintage looking chalet. Very beautiful surroundings, lots of greenery and makes you feel like you teleported to ancient English times. Scones and tea were good too.

My 1st time stay at this wonderful chalet. Everything was perfect for me. Beautiful place, nice and friendly staffs, i also meet Mr. Bala the owner. Such a humble person. I love all the landscaping and the gardens. Like I’m living in the real smokehouse era. The view from top side was amazing. No fan and aircond but still cold inside the room. Definitely will come again and again 🥰

Quiet place to stay that near tanah rata and jus 5-8min deiving distance to golden hill pasar malam only.

Stayed with family, it was a nice experience. Food is just awesome.

The Bala's Holiday Chalet is old classic chalet. There no any advance features like android TV or smart TV or small refrigerator. The switch socket wall are so limited. Just got 2 switch socket wall inside the room. All switch lights are old type one. Then shower water pressure too low and no mirror in washroom. the experience stay that we stay get like we stay in old house room. I know they want maintenance some old things for long time but some important needed should change to current situation. Like switch socket, switch lights, TV and shower. I have compare the bala chalet with other 2 or 3 star hotels in near Cameron Highlands. I felt the bala chalet are not worth for the money compared with other hotels. I think other hotels, chalet or Homestay are better than the bala chalet. Yeah, most of people will think I give bad reviews but this is the reality experience.
