Aga Surf View

Peaceful and quiet and large comfortable rooms which are well maintained by staff. Restaurant is wonderful with great fresh food, strong coffee and kitchen ready to please. The manager, Indi, is kind and attentive, always giving 110%. We were so lucky to spend 7 days in this magical place. The Aga Surf has many interesting antique details and the architect did a wonderful job of understanding the space and making it comfortable and beautiful.

Amazing place to stay next to a beautiful enclosed beach. Guide book said one of the nicest places to stay in Sri Lanka and we can confirm. Really amazing vibe. Went with an 8-year old and it was her favourite place from the entire holiday. Staff were lovely and the food delicious.

This boutique hotel right on the beach is really fabulous! The food and service are amazing and I want to give a particular shout out to the chef Wasana and the waiter Rukshan and the manager Indika. It is also really stylish, reminiscent of the Balearics. I particularly love the sinks in the bathroom upstairs! Real attention to interior design detail and the owner has a fabulous eye for low key effortless cool. Great music vibes as well all on a fabulous beach.

We absolutely loved Aga Surf. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the food is excellent and the room was clean, comfortable and (I counted) only 30 paces from the sea! We were easily able to hire surf boards and a paddle board and were spoilt with fresh fruit, prawn curries, great western bites at lunch and the best coffee I have found in Sri Lanka. The setting for this hotel is magic. If you asked a child to draw a paradise beach - it would probably look a lot like this. The little cove is very peaceful and has ideal surf for beginner and intermediate surfers, undersea life for snorkelling and calmer waters for paddle boarding. There is a beach bar with free sun loungers (as long as you buy a drink or two). We spent 3 nights here and hardly needed to leave the beach, Aga restaurant or our room. Could not recommend more highly, my own lot reservation is that this hidden gem will no doubt soon be discovered and become overcrowded- get here soon before it does!

Beautiful boutique hotel with an amazing view of the bay. Lovely attentive staff, they made our family feel right at home. The food is incredible, and the hotel rooms are beautiful and spacious. Our kids (3 and 6) loved it so much. We can’t wait to come back!

Simply the best! Set just off the beach, with private little bungalows. We came from our honeymoon and felt very loved by the staff from the outset. Awesome location, very easy to get around to nearby beaches. The music, bar, and service were always immaculate. They roast their own coffee beans on site - possibly the best souvenir to take home with me! If I could give more than 5/5 I would!
