The hotel is clean, great location, scenic view ricefield and traditional houses of minangkabau and peaceful to meditate your soul and mind. It is also located exactly down the famous hill of Ngarai Sianok

Very unique accommodation but it's quite far from the parking area to the receptionist counter which around 200meter. I need to carry my own luggage from the parking area. No hotel staff entertained or welcome me. This hotel not suitable if you travel with old folks. Some of the architecture was run down. The top room not suitable for many people as the ladder very stiff.

Padi Eco Lodge - A Mixed Experience
The lodge has friendly staff and clean rooms, which made our stay comfortable. However, walking to the property from the parking area is quite far, and the path is dark at night. Adding street lights would improve safety and convenience.
The café opens at 8 am, which is late for guests with early schedules. An earlier opening time, like 7 am, would be more practical. The bathroom amenities were minimal—only body wash was provided, with no shampoo available.
Overall, it’s a nice place to stay, but there’s room for improvement in convenience and amenities.

Little paradise just a stone's throw from the bustling Bukittingi Clock Square.
The staff is professional and welcoming. The breakfast is decent.

A magnificent ecolodge in the middle of the rice fields!!! Perhaps the most beautiful room of our 4 months of travel! Super attentive and smiling staff!!!

PADI Homestay is a beautiful building set in a canyon valley of rice paddies just below Bukittinggi. Our room was large and beautifully constructed, the bathroom spacious and the staff friendly. The reason for not being a 5 is the breakfast was inconsistent - cold coffee one day and hot the next. Our Indonesian dinners of beef rendang and ayam sate were good, however the beef bolognese tasted like something out of a can and the carbonara was a gloopy white sauce. In addition, staff appear to be more interested in each other than their customers and the cooks could use some training. Finally our room was showing some signs of disrepair - mold on the ceiling, dirty grout in the sink and not well cleaned floors. The place needs a better manager.
