Hotel Villa Bianca Resort

The photos show a swimming pool that doesn't exist! The building is very old and barely habitable as a hotel. The bathroom and shower are tiny; you can hardly wash yourself. The toilet is practically against the wall—in short, it's completely unusable. As for parking, you have to park your car up in the hills! I do not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very old and shabby. There's no refrigerator or kettle, chipped fittings in the bathroom, and old, peeling furniture. But the pros outweigh the negatives: The location is fantastic – right next to the stairs to the beach and the cable car to Taormina is two minutes away. The sea view from the balcony is stunning – we specifically booked a room with a direct sea view, and we were right on time. There's free parking in the upper building, which saves a significant amount of money (paid parking near the cable car and beach costs around 50 euros or more per day). The rooftop veranda offers 360-degree views. In our room on the 4th floor, we could get WiFi from the veranda on the 5th floor, which was a welcome relief in the evening. The breakfast is quite adequate, as in all Italian hotels. You can book dinner, which is a great solution, as there aren't many cafes in the area, just snack bars with bread rolls and arancini. The building has an elevator. Overall, this is a very decent hotel for a reasonable price in this expensive area.

The hotel's location is perfect, near the cable car and the beach. It's a hotel stuck in the '80s. The room with a view is worth it for the view, but the decor needs updating. The room is clean. Breakfast is so-so. Friendly staff. They have a special deal with the beach and pool area of the hotel next door; ask at reception.

The facilities were very old, cramped, and uncomfortable. There was no refrigerator. There was parking, but it was a bit inconvenient. I'm not sure, but I suspect the bumper was damaged while I was parked. The staff wasn't very friendly either. However, the location was good.

It is a unit in a 3-star hotel complex. There is no pool at Villa Bianca, which is actually called Pequeno Príncipe. I was in the best room (911) and the heated towel rail was turned off. The light board was exposed behind the curtain and there was an “X”, indicating that it was not to be turned on. Fortunately, all I had to do was move the switch and it was heating up in no time. The air conditioning was silent, with an inverter motor. The glass doors also acoustically isolated the sound of the sea and the street and I had no problem sleeping. In short, the only problem is the rude reception staff, the change of bed linen only after the 4th day of stay and the inconsistent water in the shower at times when everyone is bathing. My highlights are: located! You are literally close to everything and staying at the hotel will not be the best thing to do. Isolala Bella is just a few steps away and it's free! ATM in front, where you can also buy tickets to go up and down the cable car and go to the old theater, etc. Tips: Don't waste time with the staff, they will start speaking in Italian as if it is intimidating and not to solve anything, as they are lazy and expect you to guess their thoughts. Get ready for the receptionist's mocking facial expressions and take advantage of the terrace to sunbathe and contemplate.
