"This was the hotel I was most looking forward to, and also the most disappointed with, during my trip. I booked a club room, which isn't the most basic room type, but we were put on the ground floor next to the parking lot. Nearly every guest getting out of their car would glance into our room, offering absolutely no privacy. My daughter was scalded twice while showering because the cold water stopped working. We had to wait for maintenance to fix it mid-shower. After a long time, they said it was fixed, and the issue was dismissed with a simple 'my apologies.' To top it off, they charged a service fee on top of the room rate I had already paid. Do they think guests are rich and foolish? And at check-out, they didn't even bother to ask how our stay was. However, I must say, Trip.com was efficient and responsible in handling the issues, which significantly eased my discomfort."

"We stayed for my partners birthday. I contacted the hotel to let them know of the special occasion and they put some balloons in the room, as well as a small cake plate saying happy birthday which was a lovely extra touch. The pool is absolutely freezing though! The jacuzzi has been boarded over so is no longer there, which the hotel isn’t advertised on trip of having but I went on Google maps photos and saw a jacuzzi in the photos so assumed it would be there. The sauna and steam room were both quite dirty too the floor has chewing gum and other dirt on. The room was really nice, the walls are very thin though so you can hear everything from the rooms next door. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a stay but not for the spa facilities. Which is a shame as I booked this hotel specifically for the spa facilities which were a disappointment."

"Had a great stay on this wonderful private island. Splurge on the Temple Terrace Rooms if it is within your budget. Rooms are small, but that is to be expected as the buildings are from days of old, though nicely restored. Enjoyed our meals and the drinks at the bar. Also had lovely hour out on the Thames with the rented boat. Such an oasis of quiet and luxury."
