We have visited several times in the past and were looking forward to this visit. Rivers Edge is under new ownership and the personal touch left with the previous owners. The gate for the units is no longer by code access only. Anyone can drive into the area where the units are located. There used to be a welcome placard at the gate which is desparately in need of repair...or torn down. It now just looks pitiful. The welcome book and area guide in our unit had not been updated for at least 2 years. There are no new instructions on how to opeate the TV/remote control. I had to make a call to determine how to operate the TV. The lights on the rails and over the deck are on a timer which remains on until 9:30 pm. So no sitting on the deck in darkness. The resort is still quaint in a great area of the state. But, the personal touch is missing. FYI, it appears that the new owners do not reside onsite. Maybe that's why the personal touch is missing. For anyone visiting the first time, I am sure they will find that Rivers Edge lives up to expectations but previous visitors may be disappointed.

We set out on an impromptu adventure to the mountains and stumbled upon this gem! They were willing to accommodate us last minute which was great! The tree houses are so nicely done. Although close together, they feel very private inside. Each one has its own private deck up in the trees. This would be an ideal place for a gathering of friends/family with a central fire pit and picnic area on the river. The set up would also be great for those on motorcycles as there is covered parking under each tree house. The best part is inside the tree house which feels like a luxury hotel. It has AC, mini fridge and microwave- Everything you’d need! It was spotlessly clean. The bed was no kidding the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Thanks for everything- looking forward to a return trip and hope to stay longer next time!

Wife & I stayed 3 nights to celebrate her birthday. Very unique experience. We hauled our motorcycle to ride the Tail of the Dragon & the Treehouse resort was much quieter, serene, & peaceful than other motorcycle resorts in the area. Highly suggest staying there…

This was a wonderful place to stay! It was quiet, peaceful, and awesome to hear the stream running just outside our treehouse. The bed was very comfortable, the lighting was perfect, and we appreciated the lighted pathway to the stream. Although it felt remote, it was actually about a mile from the center of Robbinsville, which has restaurants, convenience stores, and a coffee shop. We would highly recommend this for couples that want to just get away, connect with nature, and have a peaceful place to rekindle fires and take rejuvenating strolls.

The property is next to a very busy road. We were really disappointed that we couldn’t relax on the deck without hearing cars, motorcycles roaring by. Plus our unit smelled like cheap perfume. I don’t know if it’s the cleaning supplies or what but it was a strong floral smell coming from the bathroom. I’m sensitive to perfume so instantly my throat started closing up. Super disappointed in this staythat was over $250 for the night. Plus, it appeared the cleaners left a bag of trash from the previous clean on the deck so minus points for that. Trash bag in pic was there when we arrived.

Absolutely LOVED our stay in the treehouse. Everything was spotlessly clean, beautiful and comfortable. Please note that there are no dishes or silverware provided. We ran to Dollar General (less than a mile away) and grabbed what we needed, so no big deal at all. The creek below the treehouse was beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommend!!!!!

We stayed in the yellow pine, #2 treehouse. It was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and basic amenities provided with the addition of a couple grilling utensils and supplies to wash your bike or vehicle. Our treehouse lacked a table to eat at and so we brought in the small 14” x 14” patio table and put it together with our cooler to made a ‘table’. There are picnic tables in the common areas but not an option with rain. We left our treehouse early to get breakfast and explore the area to accommodate housekeeping who were to come in before noon. We arrived back about 12:30 to start on our mid afternoon meal using the grill provided and housekeeping arrived about 12:50. Other than the trash, from our previous night’s dinner, we were ok and said we could make our bed and we were ok on everything else. The floor mat inside the door needs to be replaced as it is fraying and slides easily as the rubber backing is worn off. We brought paper products, plastic utensils, small dish soap, disinfectant wipes, etc. as those items aren’t provided. We pretty much had the grounds to ourselves during the day and when other guests would arrive, it was still quiet and relaxing (when we were outside during the non-rainy periods). I enjoyed our 3-night stay there and plan on staying again sometime only in a room with a table.

We stayed at #1 White Oak treehouse. The covered parking spot was nice and the bucket and water hose was a real plus. It rained a good deal during our two day stay was a bummer because we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor facilities that were very nice. The bed and linens were top notch. The small frig was adequate and so was the microwave. A larger coffee pot would have been nice! The heating and air were fine. The cabin had a D cell flash light but the battery was dead ( we didn’t need it). Enjoyed our stay and would do it again! Directions in and out were very good!
