Nice rooms, good shower. Excellent restaurant, very good food. Rooms are not soundproof, you can hear everything from the hallway.

I am on the tail end of an 18-night stay at the Lakhey Hotel in Kathmandu, and I can honestly say that it has been WONDERFUL. I've gotten to know many of the staff, and they all are warm, friendly, and gracious. The hotel has only been open for a couple of months, and it is spotlessly clean, kept that way in part by one of the hardest working housekeepers, Sumitra, that I have ever seen. The staff head, Rajesh, and his assistants, Raj Kumar and Ram, who also multitask with cooking, greet me every morning with a warm welcoming. They all will make you feel like you are part of their family. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, off a busy street, and conveniently located near the touristy Thamel area. The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern, rather upscale, but very economical. The hotel does not have a restaurant but provides a GREAT breakfast that is way beyond what they call a ”continental breakfast” that one would get in America. Freshly cooked to each guest, it includes eggs however you like them (I loved the omelet!), freshly cut fruit, veggies, potatoes, toast with butter & jam, juice, & coffee or tea. And there is a restaurant right next door for other meals. I had never stayed at the Lakhey Hotel before, but I can highly recommend it, and I will surely return in the future. One of the best hotel that i have stayed in past 6 moth travel around Asia . Hotel is centrally located, Mostly UNESCO world heritage sites are with the walking distance . Great Garden view from the room . Staff are friendly and Helpful. Neat and clean room . The hotel serves Breakfast at terrace which were great .

New Hotel with Great Roof Top View, needs to improve. Room is nice, smells new, however bed sheet is completely new , itchy , it’s like just bought and not washed , direct to the bed or been there dusty for long time. Towel is dirty white, not convenient. Water is totally disappointed, Color yellow, un-filtered and smells. Need proper filtration. Massage, all is new, bed is sounding haha , no music , no aroma for 8k local currency, 1 hour, masseuse was good. Food some are great, some are tough. View is the best for this hotel, but they open only afternoon to 10.. if you are sunrise person , this hotel is not for you. Sun set was great. Staffs are friendly, however next visit should be more thoughtful on guiding guests, where is elevator, what are facilities and hotel can offer. Breakfast was fair, price is recommendable.

I lived my life in Canada, USA and Australia. Travelling is my passion. I have been to Nepal several times and visited besides Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, Dullu etc and obviously have stayed at multiple hotels. In Thamel Kathmandu I have stayed in few very hotels but Hotel Osho is where I felt at home. This is my come back to this hotel for good reasons which is hard to find in Thamel. The location is the best and closest to everything in a quiet street. The hotel is very clean with helpful friendly staff. House keeping is excellent. Perfect terrace to relax comparing to many other hotels. Warm heated reception with first class facilities. Please contact Bishnu and he resembles his given name lord Vishnu, he solves all your problems. A friendliest hotel client representative I have ever met in Nepal. He was so open with pricing and kept his words with no strings attached etc eg tax .He even bought a digital scale to weigh my luggage. The facility does not have a lift service but the staff takes care of the luggage. I strongly advise that don’t waste your time searching just book Osho and try try believe me you will not regret. For sure I will return again as it is my second home when I am in Kathmandu, for this stay of 5 weeks still feels short.

It is such great experience staying jn Kathmandu Great hotel. It is very clean, quiet. All the staff are very friendly, espcially Shiva. Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Thamel, Kathmandu.

First of all I would like to thank each of the staff for their wonderful hospitality And especially our hostess Sajana . Sangita and Sabin were very good too. The food at sesame is very very good. Rotis are very good. Daal and fulka were outstanding. Thanks to the whole Sesame team.

Kind people, clean room , good service, it’s my first time in Nepal , everything was great

Stayed for a few days, looks like this hotel just had a renovation ( everything) is new and clean The staff was very help full and friendly The room which i stayed in was perfectly clean and new bedsheets and towels were provided it also had a balcony;) City centre is like 35 min walking and by car/bike 10min. Will definitely book this hotel again when i visit Kathmandu.

Here are a few suggestions for Hotel Himalaya: 1. The front desk and reception staff are polite and friendly, actively assisting with various issues. 2. However, due to outdated facilities, such as the bathroom, the water contains sediment, causing itchiness after showers. 3. There is no water dispenser, and using bottled water is not environmentally friendly. 4. The gym and some parts of the building are under renovation, resulting in noise pollution.
