Hotel Delfino Taranto ★★★★
"We stayed one night in this hotel. Room # 119 has been renovated but keeping the previous sanitary ware and furniture. The soundproofing in this room is horrible. We heard noises from the guests upstairs until late at night and the next day, the telephone conversation in English at 06.00 from the room next door. (luckily there are earplugs) Excellent breakfast, the room and the reception in a decidedly more design style."
Palazzo Matà Boutique Hotel ★★★★
"This is a very new hotel in Taranto. The hotel itself is very nice. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The only problem with this hotel isn’t the hotel but the location. The old part of Taranto is very run down, dirty and makes you feel unsafe to walk around."
Hotel Plaza ★★★
"This is one of those big old hotels that was once probably quite fancy but it now very faded and tired (but as such also cheap and totally acceptable for a short stay). The location is great. In the middle of downtown Taranto. I was there Sat night and it was buzzing. But my room (328) looked out onto the internal courtyard which was a little miserable but at least not noisy. As to facilities…they work. Shower was hot but slow. Large air con unit installed in the room was ugly but worked. Single bed small and hard but quite adequate. About 30min walk from the station but a beautiful walk along the harbour."
Alba Ionica Taranto ★★★
"Excellent location, the fantastic bed and breakfast, new room, with sauce, air conditioned,TV wifi and mini-fridge all working perfectly,Mr. Mauritius very good person and very available, Mrs. Deborah very nice and very good in cleaning, the room and the bathroom every 3 days in an exceptional and super-parfumed way, I hope to come back I found me very well and I advise him vividly.Thank you very much Mrs. Mauritius and Deborah for Everything. Fantastic wishes you the best, thank you again."
La Dimora Degli Dei ★★★
"We had a great stay! Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the room and the breakfast. The location is ideal for visiting Taranto (in the historic center). The room is very well equipped and tastefully decorated. The breakfast taken on the terrace was excellent and very plentiful."
Hotel l'Arcangelo - Boutique Hotel ★★★
"Nice staff but quite small room."
SoClà Boutique Hotel Rta ★★★
Baja Delle Sirene ★★★
"Beautiful place... The property couldn't have been better located for visiting Taranto... Sea views, clean and well-appointed rooms. But the happiest thing, which drives me to write such a wonderful review, is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff... Arcangelo runs the B&B with a passion that would inspire many others who do it without love... Greetings also to Pamela, who is also extremely helpful. What more can I say? If we return to Taranto, there's no doubt we'll stay at their wonderful property again."
Urban Rooms ★★★
"We have just spent one night at this b&b. When we arrived, we were disappointed with the environment, a neighborhood with large blocks of buildings. The b&b is on the first floor, the decoration is neat but there is an unpleasant smell in the common areas. The bed is of good quality and the room is clean. Possibility of parking for free nearby. In the town of Taranto there is not much to see."

"We have been this October long weekend in Aveiro and they told us that we had to have dinner at this restaurant. And we really loved it!!! The waiters were very attentive and efficient and recommended creamy rice and two varieties of Bacalado with a different glass of wine for each choice...a success!!!! And then the desserts left us speechless!!! Unbeatable quality-price!!! I definitely recommend it."
Il Giardino Delle Jacaranda
"Everything is great, the owner is friendly and allowed to leave things before leaving"

Hotel Europa
"Very kind & friendly staff, very clean, good location & good breakfast!! I'd like to stay again & bring my family too."
Hotel Akropolis - Museum Hotel
"A beautiful restored building in the heart of Taranto, with its decrepit surroundings visible. Good rooms, well-functioning air conditioning. Breakfast is varied but prepackaged, not up to par for a 4-star hotel. Overall, good, but not much better."
Albergo Del Sole
"We were on a cruise from Taranto so just stayed for one night, but paid for a sea view, which is definitely worth it. Two balconies overlooking the harbour and sea. We had an issue with our hire car, as the drop off place shut early and we were stuck with it. Very kind ladies on reception offered to call rental company to pick it up on the Monday. When they refused to pick it up, they arranged to return it themselves (14km away) - how often do you experience such wonderful and helpful customer service? We were so stressed about it and it was such a kind thing to do. Thank you so much! Overall hotel was very clean and modern, well positioned and, for Italy, good value -just a shame the outdoor bar was closed."
Don Alfredo
"Dark and dingy room, completely unlike the pictures on the website showing it as bright, light and airy. Windows open to walls within touching distance. It was like a dungeon, and we decided not to stay. We booked elsewhere at the last minute and sought a refund for the 2 nights, but got nothing. Not even 50%. Utterly disgusted. Don Alfredo does not deserve your custom."
Casa Matilde
"The STAIRS! The stairs up to the accommodation were VERY steep. No lift, Getting cases up and down was a night-mare. And dangerous. There was no one to help despite asking, there were only two young women. We arrived at the place and there was no one to let us in and we tried phoning and couldn't get through to anyone, we waited out side for 45 min. Then another guest arrived and they had better luck making contact with the owner. This is appalling behaviour. we paid the cleaner lady when we left!"
Hotel Virgilio
"Given the bad reviews I wanted to check it out in person. I stayed 4 nights. Even though it is a three star, I slept very well. Fantastic sea view. Anna, the exceptionally kind receptionist, was very helpful and gave me lots of information. Very clean place even in the toilets. Excellent value for money, very good and very interesting given the tourist location of Taranto. I highly recommend it"
I Citri
"Very nice and comfortable appartement, very kind host, absolute very good service for money. The appartement is filly equipped, one can even prepare it's own food. Ideal location to visit the city centre Taranto and to continue a trip in Apulia."
