Club Cala Blanca
"Staff so helpful and friendly, has everything you need. Is on top of quite a steep hill with a free car park at the bottom about a 15 minute walk which was fine for us. Rooms had everything you need and cleaners were super thorough. Had a perfect time!"
Mogan Princess & Beach Club
Apartamentos Cordial Magec Taurito
"These apartments are possibly the nicest we've ever stayed at, they're modern, spacious and airy, all with lovely views over the pool and resort. We were there 10-19 March, the weather was perfect, and we had a most enjoyable holiday. A few other people on Trip Advisor said the cleaning routine wasn't very good. We did not find that. A cleaner came in almost every day. Towels were changed at least 4 times in our 9 nights, and the bedding was changed halfway through our stay. The bins were emptied each time, and the bathroom cleaned too. The bedroom has plenty of storage, including a safe (chargeable at about 15 euros a week - you set your own code for extra security). Both the bedroom and the lounge, which has a modern double sofa bed, have sliding patio doors onto a large balcony which overlooks the pool or the garden. The shower was lovely with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The hairdryer was powerful too! There is also air conditioning in the lounge and bedroom, at no additional charge. The kitchen has a fridge-freezer, combination microwave, 2-ring hob, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. We chose a bed and breakfast package. There was a huge selection of food at the breakfast buffet. Cereals, fruit, juices, yogurts, cheese, ham, salads, baked goods, cooked items (bacon, eggs, etc) and 2 machines for hot drinks. You can even have some bubbly if you want it! We paid extra to have dinner there on a couple of nights - again this was buffet style and the choice was extensive. There were hot and cold dishes (fish, meat, pasta, rice, potatoes, salads, soup) and desserts. On a few days we had lunch at the poolside snack bar. The portions were huge! After the first time we learned that one dish was enough for the two of us, like a triple decker toasted sandwich with chips! The pool was lovely, it's heated outside of the high season and I found the temperature very pleasant. No shortage of sun beds and umbrellas. The lifeguard was a friendly guy, great at giving toys to the kids in the water. In fact, all the staff were fantastic - nothing was ever too much trouble and they always made sure you were greeted with a smile. Any extras you want to purchase are added to your room bill which you pay on departure. There are 3 lifts in the building which is mostly over 4 floors. On floor 2 (the lowest floor) there is the restaurant and pool. Also there are 2 washing machines and a dryer. One floor up houses the small gym which has a cross trainer, a treadmill, an exercise bike and some weights/bench press equipment. Floor 4 has a vending machine. Reception is on the top floor, a few steps down from the street, but there is also a ramp. The apartments have a quiet position at the end of the resort. This is maybe the only drawback - you have a long downhill walk to the town and the beach, so conversely it's a long uphill walk back. But it does make for peaceful nights and we slept really well. Buses stop at the bottom of the road, about 100m away."
Tui Blue Suite Princess - Adults Only
"Just had a wonderful week at this hotel.we came away for a quiet break and that's what we had.it was our choice not to join in any activities and no-one bothered us but plenty going on. Rooms and sea views were lovely and the whole hotel spotlessly clean.excellent choice of food and drink.staff also excellent. Can't tell you much about outside the hotel because we didn't go.also not once during the week had to look for sunbeds .we would return in a flash"
Princess Taurito
"The hotel is located in nice quiet alcove outside the busy areas of the other towns in Gran Canaria. It faces a public beach, which is easily accessible, but does not have a beach of its own. The facilities are wonderful, clean and capable of hosting the hundreds of tourists that descend upon the hotel in winter. The pools are large and the gym is well equipped. The kids club and animation are adequate, but I have seen better. The food spread is huge and the quality is good, but it tends to be bland and not sufficiently spiced. Overall I would rate it 8/10 and would consider visiting again."
Hotel LIVVO Valle Taurito & Aquapark
Hotel LIVVO Costa Taurito & Aquapark
"Everything was great (very friendly and attentive staff, clean facilities, everything as advertised), 100% recommended. The only downside is the gym, which is very small and lacks any maintenance."
Hotel LIVVO Lago Taurito & Aquapark
"We've just come back from here and have had an absolutely wonderful time! Ignore the bad reviews... The hotel was clean, spacious, food had good variety and plenty of it. We have 2 fussy eaters but they both managed to eat really well at every meal. Staff were friendly, and because we travelled with Jet2 we had use of all the facilities until we were picked up at 6.30pm on our final day! We were a bit apprehensive before arriving after reading a lot of negative reviews, but honestly, we've had a brilliant time. This was our first holiday abroad without extended family and the resort is brilliant for families. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have children as Taurito is definitely geared towards families. We had fun playing bowling, mini golf and air hockey (these do cost extra, but really good value - take cash for mini golf as you need to pay a refundable cash deposit for the clubs & balls) As others have said the water park is salt water (which we knew before going) so take goggles! And the pools are definitely colder in the water park compared to the hotel pool but once you're in and used to it, it's actually not too bad. UV is very high, even on cloudy days. Take plenty of suncream and after sun. We used a lot of suncream and still managed to burn so after sun kept in the hotel room fridge was a godsend. Check in was easy... We arrived at 11pm at night and were given a goody bag of a sandwich, fruit, biscuits, and water as the all inclusive had finished. Got straight into the room. We had no issues with the lifts, but generally took the stairs most of the time anyway. We were only on the 4th floor though so wasn't too many flights of stairs! Check out was also straightforward. There's a room for luggage storage, and you have until 11am on checkout day too so not a huge rush to get out the room. We were grateful for the later checkout time considering we had a late flight coming home. We did ask if we could hold the room on checkout day but unfortunately this couldn't be accommodated this time, but always worth the ask! We would definitely return here!"
