Taveuni Dive Resort

Had an amazing time at TDR! Felt like part of the family. Excellent diving, clean and food was lovely

This is our 5th visit to Taveuni Dive And its like coming home. The diving is sublime! The accommodation is 8 x 2 person Bure's. The resort has 4 reasonably sized boats (normally 2 go out) but never over fills them. With a full resort and several snorkellers, the biggest crowd on our 14-person rated vessel was 5 divers ( with 2 guides) and 2 snorkellers ( with a guide). Each bure is located in its own really colourful garden. There are external showers between each pair of rooms, each with multiple drying racks for wet gear. The day starts with a 7am breakfast, by 8, you've wandered the short walk down to the boat. Your gear will be set up, waiting for you. Out we go, 15 minutes or so to the duve sites. Once all the divers are out of the water, it's off to a secluded site for our surface interval. With fresh fruit, muffins, water & hot chocolate. A towel is also provided. After the second dive, it's back to the resort, a short walk, then wash your wetsuit & camera, fetch your room key, shower and up for lunch. A 3rd dive is available if you wish. We didn't. The food is varied, and always good. Muffins or cake is available between meals with tea, coffee, filtered water or cold tea always available. Of course, there is a bar as well. We're already planning next year's trip!

I recently stayed at Taveuni Dive Resort and had an unforgettable experience. The resort is perfectly located right on the water. The dive shop is exceptionally well-run - the instructors were professional, safety-focused, and made every dive both fun and educational. I saw reef sharks, turtles, and some of the healthiest coral I've ever encountered! The accommodations were clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like gear-drying racks and outdoor showers. The staff were genuinely friendly. The owner, Karl, is on-site and provides personalized service. He even drives you to and from the airport. The food at the on-site restaurant was also excellent - fresh seafood and great desserts. I have a sweet tooth. Between dives, it was easy to relax by the infinity pool or enjoy sunset drinks at the bar. The atmosphere was laid-back but well-organized. Massages were available for $100 Fijian for one hour. This is an excellent deal, so I had one every day without fail. I'd absolutely recommend this resort to anyone looking for world-class diving with a personal touch.

Our 4th trip to Taveuni Dive Resort. Why do we keep coming back? We are very experienced divers, and we think the diving is fantastic! The dive sites are an easy 10-15 minute boat trip from the jetty and there’s a stunning array of fish, corals and clear water. It certainly lives up to its reputation as the Rainbow Reef. Saw Mantas on 2 dives, this trip. The resort is very relaxed and beautiful. It’s small, has lovely gardens, spacious and comfortable bures, food is great. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. There’s a beautiful pool, if that’s what you’re after. Well-stocked bar. Dive staff are very professional, will do whatever they can to keep you safe and comfortable and ensure you have a great dive. The dives and dive boats are never crowded. I’ve seen some concerns elsewhere about the lack of aircon at this resort, but you won’t need it - there are fans, windows in the bures are louvred and screened so there’s always good ventilation. The resort is off-grid - it’s an out-of-the-way place, however everything that you might need has been thought of and thought through. Owners Carl and Muriel and Dive Manager Hal are around a lot, and always open to feedback.
