Pentre Riding Stables

My daughters have been doing riding lessons with Kirsty for a couple of months now and I am so pleased with their progress. My eldest daughter has tried 3 different riding schools prior to Pentre and unfortunately due to her additional needs she has never settled in anywhere and her fear of socialising and anxiety always get the better of her. It has been such a lovely experience to watch my daughter feel free and relax so much in a public place, to see her build confidence and resilience whilst doing something she is so passionate about. I would 100% recommend Pentre especially for those with additional needs.

Let me start by saying that the woman who owns this establishment is very nice and friendly. She helped us order pizza because there is no place to eat within walking distance. She even offered to put our wet clothes in the dryer. She is the reason that I gave this place two stars instead of one. The rooms did not seem clean, I found a candy wrapper and a hairball under my bed, black mold in the sink and the light switch was outside of the room. The place felt like a fire trap and indeed we found a two-story rope ladder, which I was grateful for, in the corner of our room. There was no outlet near the teapot and we had to move it to the floor on the other side of the room to use it. This was the only place that we were given a warm canned tomato rather than a grilled fresh tomato for breakfast. The most upsetting experience for me was that there were two dogs in cages near the dryer and there seem to be a large kennel outback. We were booked by Celtic Tours here.

Our kids (7 and 11) had a great day out with Pentre Riding Centre yesterday. They were trekking in glorious countryside with amazing views, they helped out in the stables, groomed their ponies and had a riding lesson. The kids want to do it again, as soon as possible. Great value for money, really friendly team.

I have enquired about booking trekking for my family on holiday via whatsapp as suggested on the website, that was 4 days ago, the message has been read but I have still not had a reply, very poor and unprofessional treatment. Perhaps my enquiry was not for a substantial booking hence been ignored.

Brilliant experience at the Pentre Riding Stables. Our young and relatively inexperienced children had a lesson then a pony trek the following day, and they loved it. Kirsty and her team were incredibly encouraging and patient with them, and the horses & ponies are clearly well looked after. We will definitely go back.

Me, my son and 73yr old Dad went on a horse trek. We had a fabulous time. Considering my dad struggles to walk waiting for his new knee operation, this was perfect memory making adventure. This will be our 2nd horse trek with Kirsty this year (so far). Absolutely love this place! Thank u Kirsty! U are amazing! See u all soon Simone, Jarvis & Dai xxx
