Stunning hotel with beautiful views. The staff at Taycheggan are friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful! Spotlessly clean and super comfortable. The hotel has had a lot of work done since I was last there, around 6 years ago, and I can not fault it in any way. It's light and airy, yet still holds that air of time gone by. I highly recommend this hidden gem, and I will definitely come back.

First night here, definitely a fantastic place so far. Scenic views of loch awe, staff friendly and inviting. Sandy welcomed us in, a fantastic host and asset at the hotel. Plenty space for guests to spread out, with separate seating areas to relax and have a drink or mingle with other guest. Dog friendly and much is great, dog treats, blankets etc. Billiards table and boards games available. Haven’t eaten yet but I’m thinking food will be amazing with locally fresh sourced ingredients. Definitely coming back in the summer season. As they do close for winter from December to mid February. Will not be disappointed so give it try ASAP.

Everything was PERFECT! The location is so peaceful and tranquil it was just what we needed. The staff were so friendly and easy to talk to. The bar and lounge areas are so relaxing with many games available! The weather was great when we stayed so we took our drinks outside and sat by the water, it was magical! The hotel itself is beautiful, modern but still keeps its character which we loved! The room itself was amazing, it was a little warm for us but nothing turning the radiator down and opening a window doesn’t fix! The bed was so comfy and the bathroom was a great size. We loved the modern and traditional mix of furniture aswell. We decided to eat at the hotel instead of driving back into town (especially on the single track road). The food is pricey but that is expected, we can’t fault the food at all. Was delicious and beautifully served. The view from the dining area was lovely also. Will definitely stay here again!!

Peace and tranquility awaits you when you arrive with its lovely loch location. The clean room had nice decor and all the staff were polite and professional. There are several lounges to choose from inside with outdoor seating available too. We enjoyed a bottle of red wine along with delicious burgers for dinner in the romantic ambient restaurant. We were tempted by a great cheese trolly and enjoyed choosing our own selection for dessert. A nice touch.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. We had looked forward to this trip for many months. The location is stunning and the room fine but in need of maintenance. Dinner was very disappointing. Poor service. Main course well cooked but lacking the refinements of fine dining. Cold plates and lukewarm food with no vegetables supporting the main course. Clearly unhappy staff who consistently apologised for the recent decline in standards. NOT ONE TO REVISIT

This is an incredible hotel, one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. Room was spacious, hotel itself is beautiful and its position on the loch was stunning. The kids loved exploring the garden and it was very welcoming to our dogs. Dinner was amazing and breakfast a feast- dogs got their own sausage. We enjoyed playing games and snooker in the evening. Staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back!

First visit this year and quite impressed by the improvements which have been carried out over the winter. The refurbishment of the four bedrooms looking towards the hill looks very impressive and I'm sure that they will look amazing when finished. The dining room is certainly much brighter with the new flooring. The Fine Dining room looks very elegant and I hope that it is well frequented. The bar/lounge area also appears to be freshened up and is a lovely area to chill out in. Once again it's the staff who make your visit so enjoyable. From checking in Michelle makes you feel very welcome. Jason and Sandy are a couple of stars and always very pleasant and make time to have a chat with you. We had a slight problem with the heating due to the new boiler replacement and Michelle allocated us to a new room without hesitation. Great to see the fire pits back on the loch side, unfortunately the weather wasn't kind enough for us to sit out and enjoy the view. Next time 👍 When you visit Taychrregan, you feel the stress and strain lifting of your body. Looking forward to returning as soon as possible. Thanks again Team T

You arrive to the hotel via a very fun 'Mario kart' single track road. It is right at the very, and gives Agatha Cristie vibes. The hotel is directly next to a loch and surrounded by gardens. We had a brilliant stay. We were really appreciative if being upgraded, and our room, Lewis was gorgeous. Huge, grandma decorated. A massive bed, and lovely view over the gardens and Loch. Large bathroom with a couples bath, and the hottest most powerful shower you could wish for. We didn't take advantage of the outdoor facilities, but loved the firepitd they have set, and another time would of liked to use the bikes or canoes. Being remote we took advantage of dining in the restaurant. It was a treat, but expensive, so not somewhere to dine everyday. The next morning we took an early dip in the cold loch, our warm room abs shower very welcome. Breakfast was fantastic, although not clear that a cooked breakfast was on offer initially. (It says on reverse of menu, but not mentioned). Dogs are made very welcome here with blankets, towels, balls and treats provided. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay. This was supposed to be a little treat in the middle of our camping treat, but turned into an upmost highlight. We would love to come back when have more time.
