I had an incredible stay at Shota@Rustaveli Boutique Hotel as a solo traveler blending work and leisure. The location is perfect—centrally situated in Tbilisi, just a short walk from the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Georgian National Museum, making it ideal for exploring the city. The room was well-equipped with a comfortable desk that was perfect for getting work done. The service was outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tbilisi!

This Ibis hotel was excellent, as were many of the other Ibis hotels I've stayed in. I chose a standard room with a double bed, and I was given room 314. The view from the window was of the back yard, which wasn't particularly beautiful, but it was free from tourist crowds and noise. The breakfasts were standard European, with a wide selection of food, fresh juices, tea, and coffee. They were delicious. The room itself had minor imperfections, such as scratches on the walls, but I didn't consider them a significant issue. Room service was available daily. Thank you to the service team for the pleasant surprise.

The beds were very clean and the view was amazing from the 10th floor. Our room was always cleaned up whenever we would come back to the room everyday. The bathrooms cleanliness and shower was amazing and very good quality. The staff were very nice and all spoke English, giving us a comfortable and pleasant experience at the Hilton Hotel.

Guest UserThis is the second time we have stayed in this wonderful hotel. It's an easy drive from the airport and a fair price for the taxi there. The location is excellent with plenty of very decent restaurants and shops in the vicinity. There is a french restaurant nearby that I highly recommend if you like high quality french food. The snails and the soup starters are particularly delicious and the steak and fish is superb. The reception staff at the hotel are so friendly, welcoming and very helpful and professional no job is too small. You can rely on them 100%. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and warm especially in this month. All the amenities are there with plenty of tea and coffee and a fridge if you have your own items. The housekeeping staff are attentive and friendly and do an excellent job of keeping your room clean and fully stocked up. Finally, this hotel provides a buffet breakfast as well which again I highly recommend with a wide variety of food and fruit and pastry on offer and cooked food all to a high quality. It's a real pleasure to eat breakfast there in the charming restaurant area with plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juice. The staff are very helpful and makes your breakfast experience a very good start to your day. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be staying there again in December on a short trip over Christmas. It's always a pleasure and a sadness to leave when your trip is over.

Great place to discover Tbilisi Price was more than fair and location is quite handy considering lots of buses are right in front of the accomodation. Even there is a bus to the airport(337) For the last receptions are quite friendly I would recommend.

Positive aspects:
The hotel is newly opened, and the room itself is clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping is flawless – towels are changed daily, they are clean and in good condition. The bed is comfortable, Wi-Fi works reliably, and the climate control is adequate (neither stuffy nor too warm). The room is equipped with a TV, though the channel selection is limited (no movie channels such as TV1000). Standard amenities are provided: bottled water, slippers, and bathroom toiletries (mini-soap, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel), although body lotion, toothbrush, and toothpaste were not available.
Breakfast is quite basic, but all items are fresh.
I would also like to acknowledge the staff member who quickly resolved an issue with a steamer – she was smiling, friendly, and efficient.
1. Check-in experience and guest information: Upon arrival, there was no warm welcome, no escort to the room, and no luggage assistance. No in-room information was provided regarding Wi-Fi access, hotel services, bar prices, or the schedule of the conference (timing and location). All of this had to be inquired about separately after check-in. Additionally, the front desk had difficulty locating my reservation, which caused unnecessary delay.
I stayed at this hotel to attend a conference that lasted from early morning until late evening. Unfortunately, instead of a good rest, I had a terrible experience that completely ruined my stay.
2/ Security issue (a nightmare at night):
At around 3 a.m., while I was fast asleep before an important day, strangers walked into my room without any prior notice – they opened the door with their own key card. They were just as shocked to see me as I was to see them. Imagine waking up to find unknown people in your private space.
Not only is this a serious breach of security and privacy, but a little while later I was woken up again – this time by a receptionist who came to personally apologize for the earlier intrusion. Instead of handling this in the morning or at least calling first, they woke me up a second time. I couldn't fall back asleep afterwards, and I had to get up very early.
3/ Staff response (dismissive and unhelpful):
In the morning, I went to the front desk to ask how this could have happened and what the hotel was willing to offer as compensation for my ruined sleep and emotional distress. The female receptionist gave me a cold, cynical reply: ”We already apologized to you – what more do you want?” and ”You didn't sleep? That's your problem. We said sorry.”
This attitude is completely unacceptable in the hospitality industry. She made no effort to understand the situation, offered no solution (be it a discount, a complimentary service, or even basic human empathy). For them, a formal ”sorry” seems to be a free pass for any mistake.
Conclusion:
This hotel cannot guarantee the most basic things – your safety and a good night's sleep. And the staff clearly don't know how to handle guest complaints except with arrogance and indifference. You cannot get back the sleep you lost at 3 a.m., and the feeling of insecurity stayed with me for the rest of my stay.
I cannot recommend this hotel to business travelers or tourists alike. If you value your peace of mind, decent service, and actual safety – look elsewhere. Apologies don't replace quality rest, and the staff attitude here is truly disappointing.
