My recent stay at The Westin Himalayas was nothing short of spectacular, offering the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and the breathtaking serenity of the mountains. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a sense of calm that truly defines a Himalayan getaway. Unforgettable Location and Serenity: The location is undeniably one of the hotel's strongest assets. Nestled amidst the majestic Himalayas, the views are simply mesmerizing, providing a picturesque backdrop for a truly relaxing escape. The tranquility of the surroundings allows for a complete disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life, making it an ideal retreat for peace and rejuvenation. Exceptional Service with a Personal Touch: Beyond the stunning setting, what truly elevated my experience was the exceptionally courteous staff. Every interaction was marked by genuine warmth and professionalism, and their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every detail. A special commendation must go to Mr. Niraj, the Restaurant Manager. His presence made every meal a delightful experience. He effortlessly combined professional efficiency with a genuine, personal touch, ensuring that every guest felt valued and cared for. It's clear he leads his team with excellence, creating a dining atmosphere that is both sophisticated and welcoming. Similarly, Mr. Shubam at the front desk extended a wonderfully warm welcome, setting a positive tone for my entire stay. His friendly demeanor, quick efficiency, and genuine desire to assist made the check-in process seamless and pleasant. He truly made me feel right at home from the moment I stepped through the doors. Delicious Culinary Delights And let's talk about the delicious food! The culinary offerings at The Westin Himalayas are outstanding. Each meal was a delightful journey of flavors, with a wide variety of options to satisfy every palate. The quality and presentation of the dishes were consistently excellent, making dining a highlight of my stay. A Truly Memorable Stay: Overall, The Westin Himalayas delivers an unforgettable experience. The combination of its amazing location, the unparalleled serenity of the Himalayas, delicious food, and most importantly, the incredibly courteous and attentive staff—especially the personal touches from Mr. Niraj and Mr. Shubam—creates a truly exceptional stay. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already looking forward to my next visit.

The best hotel in the Lap of Himalayas, with spectacular view. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive and genuinely focused on making everything easy and comfortable. The service throughout the stay was flawless without ever feeling forced. The evening program live music, Ganga Aarti, high tea with finger, licking food was a great surprise: relaxed, well curated and actually enjoyable after a long day. Breakfast was equally impressive, with fresh options, great flavour and the kind of quality you normally don’t expect. Open deck with swimming pool and jacuzzi, often clouds covering us and making us feel and bringing solace. Everything just worked perfectly. No stress, no issues, just a smooth, memorable stay that set the bar very high.

Some stays are memorable. A few feel like a once-in-a-lifetime unlock. My experience at The Westin Himalayas firmly belonged to the latter. I had the rare opportunity to unlock their Royal Garden Villa with a private heated pool and jacuzzi function. With only two such villas in the entire property, this was not a plunge pool setup but a full-sized private pool opening into a beautifully landscaped garden, complete with an in-suite spa facility. The villa was so thoughtfully designed that it genuinely felt award-worthy in its own right. The stay was flawlessly coordinated by Netendra, whose attention to detail elevated every moment. A warm mention as well to Priyanka at the front desk for ensuring all our requests were handled seamlessly. The Heavenly Spa lived up to its name. Their signature therapy with hot potli bundles was deeply restorative and one of the better spa experiences I have had in a luxury resort. Dining was exceptional throughout. Chef Ashish, a master of North Indian cuisine, ***** with Executive Chef Pankaj, curated an outstanding culinary journey, especially the local Garhwali Thali. AKASA, the poolside all-day dining, became our favourite spot for its relaxed vibe. TOYA impressed with refined Asian and Japanese flavours. We even got a floating breakfast right in our villa. TIP: you can get a floating breakfast in the main pool as well (charged extra) Evenings were magical with rooftop high tea followed by the daily Ganga Aarti. Star gazing later that night was insightful, and the sunrise visit to Kunjapuri Devi Temple the next morning was deeply spiritual. Breathtaking views, exceptional food, and a sense of calm luxury throughout. A truly outstanding Himalayan retreat.

We stayed here a few days ago as a family, occupying 4 rooms. We had been to JW Marriott Mussorie before and were thoroughly impressed and keen to see if this would match. We found pre-arrival communication to not be at the level of JW Mussorie. There were short responses without greetings. I received a message from Ayan Sheikh who said he would be our single point of contact during the stay, but we did not have much to do with him during our stay. The drive up from the airport was an hour long, and we had a nice greeting on arrival and were quickly taken to our rooms. Most meals we had were of high quality and breakfast in particular was a highlight. Toya, including the Teppenyaki experience was great. Akasa was good. We had a private BBQ set up one evening which was good. We attended the afternoon tea event a couple of days and this is where we were a bit disappointed. The staff tried their best but the experience did not match JW Mussorie. They have a much more sprawling lawn area with games and kids activities. The kids entertainment area was nice. We organised a hilltop picnic. sub hash and his team prepared maggi and tea which we loved. But there were no views per se. JW Mussorie was excellent in this regard. Rooms are good but with an odd placement of the bathtub blocking access! Overall, a 4 star property with good service but not to the level of JW Marriott Mussorie.
