"We booked two rooms at this hotel, and it was entirely our fault for not paying enough attention to its location. We didn't realize that Kulon Progo is where Jogja's new airport is situated. Since Novotel hotels are typically found near airports, our assumption was that this hotel, named Novotel Kulon Progo, would be somewhere between Adisutjipto Airport (the old one) and Jogja city. It was only after spending our Saturday night out, traveling from Parangtritis Beach to Malioboro, and entering the hotel's name into Waze, that we realized just how far that location was from Malioboro. We tried to contact the hotel, but our calls were never answered. When we attempted to cancel our booking via Trip.com, it was denied. It's fine; it was indeed our oversight for not thoroughly checking the hotel's location. We ended up forfeiting the money we had already paid."
