Our room was large comfortable just a pity bed too hard for us. View over golf course. Pool and steel room brilliant. All staff very friendly and helpful. Sorry but the price of wine and drink too much for us. We did listen to the live music he was great thanks.

I just spent two nights at ETAP Belfast and I can’t say anything bad about it! Though the rooms are small, it’s fair for the price! What is the best in this hotel is the staff! Always cheerful and keen to help, really professional! Especially Nathan, the receptionist that was working when I arrived! So polite and always making small talk which is very good and makes us feel comfortable. He is the cherry on top of the cake, if there’s any chance make sure he knows about it! He made my 3 day holiday worth it. Thank you Nathan 😍

I was in the hotel last month with my boyfriend. We had best time of our lifes. The location of hotel is really nice. View from our room was stunning, we could watch the beautiful Belfast at night! Also…… Observatory! We had the best drinks, served by such amazing people. They create perfect team, with such amazing atmosphere. We are going to come back every year, just to taste those drinks, and watch the amazing view. Observatory is the heart of this hotel! X

On arrival we were impressed by the decor. Staff at reception very nice. Room nice and modern. Was very disappointed with our lunch experience in the bar however. The chicken sandwich was in dry bread, with butter Mayo and chicken only. No garnish, no lettuce even in sandwich. Not what you’d expect from a 4* hotel! The next let down was the milk for my coffee which I had to order at the bar as no one came to check on us or clear dishes for some time. The milk was delivered in a cup because there were no milk jugs, in a 4* hotel! The staff were under pressure and were getting grief from one family waiting on their food so I didn’t add to the staffs stress. Pool is great but tiles are slippy and it’s on the cool side.

Excellent value for money in a great location about a two minute walk from the Duke of York pub - room was clean and decorated to a nice standard, it was compact but more than enough for a short stay. Continental breakfast in the morning was really handy, and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for a short city break as the perfect base to explore.

A very well-located hotel. The lobby also looks quite nice! Check-in was smooth. The room was spacious; since we booked a family room, there was also a sofa. Overall, we were very satisfied with the room. However, it's worth mentioning that the sink in the bathroom was clogged, which made it impossible to use, and it was also leaking. The soundproofing was not good; we could hear people talking in the next room. There were a lot of people checking out in the morning. I hope there can be improvements!

The location is good, right in the city center, there are supermarkets around, and it is only 5 minutes to the central pedestrian street. Unlike other hotels, the heating equipment is air-conditioned, so the effect is average.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the Culloden. Every member of staff was so friendly, helpful and warm. A special shout out to the lovely gentleman leading breakfast service who is excellent at his job. It was a nice touch that he came to speak to us and other guests when the service was easing off. We enjoyed chatting to him. Most of the food we had was absolutely delicious and the breakfast in particular is probably the best hotel breakfast we’ve had. We had a really lovely lunch when we arrived and everything was very, very tasty apart from the egg sandwich which I think the kitchen maybe forgot to season, it was pretty bland. We had dinner in the Cultra Inn. Once again, nearly everything was delicious apart from my husband’s burger bun which was mostly black/burnt from being over toasted. Service was unfortunately a bit slow, young staff so lovely but one or two need a shake to not let the ball drop and keep on top of everything. Our bedroom was absolutely beautiful; very comfortable and spotlessly clean apart from a few short black hairs on a towel and a pillowcase. It was a pleasant surprise to come back and see the beds turned down and water on each beside table. We really enjoyed our time near the fire, reading our books and drinking cocktails which were all first class. Having said this, despite the fire, we both found it a little cold and it was disappointing that the fire was allowed to go out and wasn’t topped up. We would love to give the hotel 5/5 but considering the price of the stay, the little things we mentioned held us back on this. To make it value for money, everything would need to be pretty perfect.

The boss is very friendly, makes breakfast in person, and will chat with you when eating. The room and bathroom are very clean, the bus goes directly to the door, and I will definitely stay here next time. The score is really well deserved.

The room I stayed in was a business-style suite facing the main road. It was big and comfortable with a nice bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. There is free, covered parking at the back which was useful. The windows opened which was good as it was dry and hot in the room. I could not get the TV to work other than BBC World although eventually I managed to tweak the box and get it to work. The room furnishing was incredibly dark (wallpaper, curtains and light covers were all in dark material). I had to ask the reception to replace a broken bulb in one of the ceiling lights and the bedsit lights were so dark it was impossible to read by them. The cleaning of the room was a bit hit or miss and there were cigarette butts permanently stuck out of the external butt holder right by the front door. The housekeeper did pop by and apologise. The staff at reception were helpful and pleasant and when prompted sorted out the necessary issues.
