Booked a nice house via the hotel's own site. Seen beautiful photos, looked nice. Upon arrival it turns out that we are assigned a pathetic house. Not the house we had booked on the site. The house did not smell fresh, was not clean, furnished with very old, worn furniture. But our biggest annoyance was that we had not booked this house. This joke cost €160,-

De ruime kamer met uitzicht op de IJsel was de mooiste die we ooit in een hotel hadden - en we zijn beiden 71 jaar. Het was overigens eerder een appartement, compleet met volledige keuken met vaatwasser. Het was heel rustig (ook dankzij goed isolerende ramen), en de bedden waren heerlijk. En geweldige luie stoelen met goed leeslicht - uitzonderlijk in een hotel. De eigenaren waren zowel vooraf telefonisch als bij aankomst (vroeger dan de formele inchecktijd) zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Als wij weer eens terugkomen naar Deventer, verblijven we zeker weer bij de Vischpoorte!

We hadden een appartement op de begane grond aan de Nieuwe Markt, in feite was het een oud pand dat was aangepast. We hadden een ontbijt bijgeboekt, bij het inchecken moesten we hiervoor op een lijst aangeven wat we wilden eten. Het was een zeer sober ontbijt. Het appartement was redelijk schoon, alleen stond het bed achterover, dus lag je met je benen een beetje omhoog.

Het was een mooi appartement, met alles er op en er aan. Het was schoon en netjes. Hier en daar zou wat meer aan onderhoud gedaan kunnen worden. De grote kamer was verdeeld, door een grote kledingkast, in een woonkamer en slaapgedeelte. We kregen ontbijt in ons appartement. Toen wij aankwamen moesten we gelijk, ter plekke een formulier invullen wat we wilden hebben als ontbijt. Tijd om na te denken was er niet. We hebben 40 euro voor het ontbijt betaald. Wat wij gekregen hebben was nog geen 20 euro waard. Als we meer de tijd hadden gehad om na te denken hadden we wel waar voor ons geld hebben gehad.

Geweldige kamers en appartementen; groot en comfortabel, waardoor je je meer thuisvoelt dan in gewoon hotel. Veel privacy. Schoon, servicegericht. Ruime badkamer. Goed gemeubileerd. De vestiging aan het plein is iets lawaaierig.
