"We choose to stay here as my husband had a driving experience to attend near by. We were given keys to room 9 which was up stairs. We settled in and realised the tv wouldn’t switch on and the remote to the fan didn’t work. We reported this and the manager said he would check it out. We had a meal at the pub and I popped back to the room after that and could smell heat in the room like an electrical appliance had blown. The manager was very good and moved us to room 3, it wasn’t a bad room but very hot. The bed in that room wasn’t great and I ended up with back ache the following morning so we decided to make our way home that afternoon. I found the staff really helpful and the food was ok. The bathrooms at the pub could really do with renovating. On the whole the two bedrooms we saw were ok and clean."

"Hosted my 21st birthday in their events space. The team were fab - particular shout out to Lauren and the events team. The space was gorgeous and the waiters and waitresses were very attentive. Couldn’t recommend it more and have friends who have already booked the space for their 21st coming up!"

"We use this hotel at the swan thatcham quite regularly. Another great stay this weekend, with the footie aswell. Really nice all round, very friendly staff, and has a pool table too."
