"Great family holiday with fantastic entertainment We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Roda Beach Resort & Spa and would definitely consider returning next year. The hotel is quite a long way from Corfu Airport, and the transfer takes nearly two hours by bus, which is something to bear in mind when booking. However, once you arrive, the location is lovely. The sea is just a two-minute walk from the hotel, which was a huge bonus for me. I’m not really a pool person, so I loved being able to simply nip down to the sea whenever I fancied a swim. The hotel has a main restaurant as well as three themed à la carte restaurants. We found the lunch and dinner choices to be good, with plenty of variety. Breakfast was also good, although I think it could be improved by offering a wider choice of yoghurt, granola and fresh fruit salad. The rooms are cleaned **every day**, and bottled water is replenished regularly, which was much appreciated. On some days, I chose to opt out of room cleaning and towel changes as a small contribution towards reducing water and energy consumption and helping the environment. I liked having the option to make that choice. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the **entertainment**. The entertainment team were fantastic and there was always something going on. A special mention has to go to **Rado, the entertainment manager**, who is brilliant. He hosts music quizzes every evening at 8pm and also gets involved in the evening entertainment alongside the rest of the team. His energy really makes a difference to the atmosphere. I’d also like to mention **Lena**, who was lovely and encouraged me to take part in the daily activities. It was nice to be made to feel welcome and included, even when I wouldn’t normally be the type of person to join in. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. There are a few small things that could be improved, particularly at breakfast, but the location, food, clean rooms, entertainment and friendly team made it a very enjoyable stay. **We had a great time and might well be back next year!**"

"My partner and I have just returned from a week’s stay at Hotel Unda. I was trying to think of a single word to describe the experience for this review… words like “exemplary”, “sensational” or “unrivalled” may sound cliched; they are not even close in describing this new hotel on the northern coast of Corfu. I could not recommend this hotel more highly. The aesthetics and design of this hotel are beautiful. The staff are incredibly professional - if very busy at times… which can delay service just for a fleeting moment… but please remember you’re in Corfu, on holiday at the most fabulous hotel; deadlines and other priorities should be a distant memory. To single out specific individuals on the team would be a disservice to those not mentioned as It’s clear they are all so wedded to the success of this new establishment. So what would I change or suggest as very discerning improvements…? I want this new hotel to be a success! The hotel staff deserve this at the very least… they are all so lovely. Easier access to the sea - I love swimming in the ocean and do it all year round. The sea water just metres from the hotel is simply stunning. Bring water shoes to allow easier walking across the pebbles. Once in, the sand is fabulous. The hotel organises some wonderful live music events. They are very cool. As a thought I’d love to see a huge bbq event for guests every week / month… just to mix up the menu slightly."

"Hi hotel makers and travelers, we been 16/09/2024 for a week, this hotel is pretty, nice apartment room with nice sea view, reception I think so is the more friendly staff in hotel,restaurant services is basic nothing best, just in dinner nice waitress say hello at door , nothing else, waiters just come late to ask drinks and sometimes no come, food is ok, bar in sea more friendly a restaurant but just 1 guy have shift afternoon/evening he is very arrogant don’t know how talk with customers, is the reason I didn’t be any more in this bar, is funny hotel manager’s no want guests drink from outside the hotel bar but have supermarket inside the hotel, how want control that, is ok , nothing bad, nothing good, a finally hotel is ok for a week, a thing so any travelers will be enjoy."

"This boutique hotel is very well presented. You wouldn't think it was 3*. Probably only the fact the reception isn't open 24hrs which is fine. Some of the photos on here are out of date as think it was refurbished in 2023. The pool area has lots of different seating and loungers, a bar and was never that busy or loud. It did look very high end. Rooms are a generous size. Some have private hot tubs. Breakfast had plenty of choices including healthy fruits, yoghurt, cereal. A short walk to the restaurants and shops, a bit further to the pebbly nearby beach. Useful to have a car as a hour from the airport and you can then get to other beaches. Only minor room for improvement areas are pool towels weren't always available. They were on demand rather than provided on check in then swapped. Nespresso coffee pods in the room had a fee. Toiletries could have been replenished more regularly. I would recommend this hotel. Ideal for couples."

"We spent a week here and I don't think we'll ever go back. The hotel is beautiful, especially the buildings at the bottom of the hill, but a bit unkempt. It's clean, but with mold and old painted doors, windows and walls. Would urgently need renovation. It was full of mosquitoes and wasps, you couldn't eat on the terrace because of them. Regarding the food (we had half board), that was the biggest disappointment. The breakfast was poor, the ham and salami looked like they had been sitting on the plate for two weeks, low-quality cheese and eggs, when you could still find them, unfried. Yogurt was missing and apple and orange juice were made from chemicals. Dinner was even worse. I could hardly eat anything, even if there were five or six dishes. All the meat was tasteless, without salt and pepper. The pork was either very, very tough or just gristle and fat. The side dishes were just as unappetizing as the rest. Nice, kind and friendly staff, except for the lady who was the head waiter at dinner. In conclusion, I'm sorry I paid so much money. It's not a four-star hotel at all, maybe a three-star one, with indulgence."

"We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Costa Botanica as a family of two adults and a two-year-old. We were given a room upgrade which was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. The resort is really beautiful with lots of greenery and attention to detail. The pools are lovely- plenty of choice and the waterpark is brilliant with a lovely lazy river. There are lifeguards at every pool and also at the beach. We never had any issues finding sunbeds but I imagine it may be different during summer holidays. There is plenty for kids to do and our toddler had the time of her life. The staff are lovely and very helpful, the beach is gorgeous and the beach bar is great too. The main square is a pleasant place to chill in the evenings with table service for drinks and a general nice vibe. The food was good, no complaints and lots of choice. There was always lots of fresh fruit and salad, you can build your own or choose pre-prepared ones which were all delicious and there are plenty of meat and seafood options, I had some delicious grilled prawns with the shells on, mussels, fried anchovies etc. There are also plenty of options for more fussy eaters- pizza, chips, spaghetti Bolognese, chicken goujons etc. There are two snack bars and creperies/ ice cream stations which are great if you want lunch on the go or while you're at the pool and don't want to have to go back to your room, get dressed and go to the buffet restaurant. The snack bars provide things like sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, gyros, salads, chicken nuggets, chips, pizza etc and there are also self serve beer stations. The cocktails are great and there are lots of options. We also did the wine tasting with Georgia which was fantastic and Georgia was very accommodating and provided drinks and snacks for our daughter while we sampled the wines. The a la carte restaurants were very nice (we went to all but the fine dining as they do not allow children). Mosquitoes were not as bad as expected having read previous reviews although we did always use repellant and I was bitten maybe 6 or 7 times. Considering I am usually eaten alive, this was a positive for me. Our toddler was not bitten at all and I only saw a couple of wasps which were not a nuisance. At one point, we lost power in our room and when we reported it, they sent someone to fix it straight away. The only minor negatives were the drinks service which was very slow at times. We were not bothered about having much to drink but if I had been on a couples or group holiday we may have been slightly more annoyed. The buffet restaurant was sometimes understaffed with tables lacking cutlery and glasses and at one point there was no high chair available for our toddler so we had to leave and go back later. We also requested a baby bath as we only had a shower in our room and it took two days and several reminders for it to be delivered to our room (although they were very apologetic). "Tranquil hotel in beautiful setting in lush grounds. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Pool is great with plenty of modern sunbeds and new umbrellas. The breakfast is self service with plenty to choose from with delicious pastries, fresh fruit, bread , yoghurt and cooked food. The star of the show is Jenny the friendly br tender. Was very anxious after seeing reviews at the end of last season but a lot of work has clearly been done to restore and renew. Would happily return. "

"The room was quite clean. We stayed in a duplex which can accommodate 4 people. The shower water pressure was great. The hotel has a nice view. There are many beach chairs, and the charge is 6 euros for an umbrella and two chairs (unlimited time). There are two restaurants on the beach, both of which tasted very good. There are three swimming pools and beautiful pool lights at night. The breakfast is quite rich, of course it is different from those five-star hotels in Yalong Bay, Sanya, but the desserts are delicious!"

"Stunning location, beautifully designed grounds and rooms. Immaculately clean structure and well kept gardens. Attentive, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet offers a vast selection of quality food to satisfy any taste. Food at the restaurant with the most spectacular sunset view is excellent and very fairly priced. As a family with older kids we had a fabulous time. Surroundings are quiet, so I would strongly recommend getting a car. We did, and in the week we stayed we mixed blissful relax by the pool and at the beach with some exploring of nearby beaches, touristy attractions and bar and restaurants. I would strongly reccomend a holiday at Thalassa Suites."

"We expected a 5-star experience, but it was far from it and we returned home with a huge disappointment. Mosquitoes & Bees: The hotel is located near a swamp, meaning it is infested with millions of mosquitoes. My entire family, including my young children, got bitten all over their bodies and faces. The kids were crying and scratching throughout the whole trip. During the day there are many bees, making it impossible to sit outside in the afternoon/evening. Mice in the room: In the middle of the night, I saw a mouse that had probably been in our room since day one. My young children were terrified and started crying. I had to wake up the whole family and pack all our bags at midnight to move to an alternative room. No kids' activities: There is almost nothing for children to do. There is no indoor play area or air-conditioned arts and crafts room for them. Towel service: Most of the time, the towel station at the beach is empty. The staff member ran out of towels and had to leave his post to fetch more. Location & Transit: The hotel is very isolated, which strictly requires having a car to get around. Additionally, the car rental prices offered directly by the hotel are quite expensive. Poor drinks quality: The tap water taste is terrible and undrinkable, including the bottled water in the minibar. The soft drinks from the machines are overly sweet and taste very cheap. For a 5-star hotel, we expected proper, quality beverages.Bottom line: There is a significant gap between the professional photos on the website and the actual experience in reality. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations for a 5-star resort."

"Stayed fir ten nights at the milton nice hotel rooms cleaned every day and towels changed every other day . Shower is hit and miss and the bathroom is very small breakfast is very simple toast ham cheese and cereal and juice . Staff are very friendly and Alex is very good the poor lady didn't stop she is very helpful pool is lovley and always lots of free sunbeds . Good location only a short walk to the bars and restaurants and 15 minutes walk to roda beach nice relaxing place to stay"

"Recently returned from a week’s stay in this fab hotel. I travelled with my 17 year old grand daughter. Neither of us could fault our experience. Spotlessly clean room (202) , beautiful bathroom, comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. The pool is gorgeous, and so well cared for, as are the gardens. No sunbed wars here, plenty to go around. The pool snack bar and drinks bar are both great. The staff are so nice, that goes for the cleaners too. Smiles and chats from every one of them, especially Spiros, nothing is too much trouble for him, he is so pleasant and really passionate about his job making us holiday makers happy. Thank you! Ten minute walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, bars and bistros. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and the resort itself. We most definitely should have done longer than 7 days."

"We have spent a week in the hotel - the price was about 900 EUR for 2 persons, all-inclusive board included. Under these conditions, the price value ratio was excellent. The hotel used to be very fancy, now it is rather 2 - 3 stars standard. Rooms have basic equipment. The food is tasty, 3-5 main dishes, 2-3 side dishes, a salad bar, beer, wine, local liquor based drinks. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The beach is the best in the entire neighbourhood. The overall experience was very good."

"My wife and I stayed in the cottage just on the beach, it was absolutely amazing! Perfect for a special occasion! Watching the sun set at night while having some drinks out the back then going over to Petra’s for some of the nicest food we have ever had in Corfu (and we come A LOT) The area was extremely quiet and peaceful. Hearing the ocean at night is great while you’re sleeping. The room was so clean and even better than the photos on the website! Staff were super friendly and helped us book excursions and taxis etc. Cocktails are good quality and the breakfast was delicious! The breakfast filled us all day until dinner! We cannot fault this place. I’d say the only downfall is the mosquitos at night but just get some spray and you’ll be grand! lol"

"Visited last week in September 2024 Took wife away for a well earned holiday - we had a wonderful time - was given the best room in place overlooking the pool with a south facing balcony - normally reserved for parties of 6 but as was end of season we had this given to us. Lovely staff always willing to help and easy going and pleasant to talk to. Pool is clean also has little pool for babies - bar food very reasonable priced and tasted ok - very close to beach and only a short walk into high street for supermarket etc. Going back in August with our 2 girls. Rooms cleaned and bins emptied regularly. Pool table in pool bar 2 euros a game. Fridge and pots pans etc in room for basic cooking - on holiday so only mainly had lunch at room or complex. Cant wait for august 2025 to revisit"
