Visited last night on a rare child free evening. The food was superb, the chicken burger was so tasty and huge! I absolutely devoured it, even better with £5 off on Thursdays. My partner had the pork tomahawk and really enjoyed it. Lovely staff, quick service, beautiful setting and atmosphere. We haven't been for a couple of years due to a poor meal but so glad to have been back and had a great meal. Thank you Tempest.

I went for an overnight stay with my two sisters. We booked two rooms and we were upgraded without even asking for an upgrade. The rooms were so beautiful and clean. The food and drink were fabulous. And I must praise all the staff for being so helpful and friendly Nothing you asked for was any trouble. Brilliant service. Lovely place and the staff make it too. Must be good because it’s hard to book again this year. Enough said. A massive thank you for a great experience and all your hard work is noted.

This was our third visit to The Tempest Arms. We came for our first, our third and our tenth wedding anniversary. Since our third in 2018 there have been some renovations and it looks amazing. We loved it before but now it is brighter and more airy. Very sophisticated. We always enjoy our stay here. Staff are always friendly and helpful if we need them. Food is always plentiful and delicious. We look forward to our next visit!!!

We stayed here overnight, and we had dinner. We stayed in a suite in Beckside, the room was beautifully decorated, had an enormous bathroom, and a massive shower cubicle. The food was brilliant, we had dinner and breakfast here. The staff were so helpful, they booked us a taxi for the following morning (not easy, out so far from town). Highly recommend if you are in the area.

We had a lovely relaxing time here. The Inn was very busy with a wedding and guests but we felt welcomed and comfortable. The room was great and the staff managed to squeeze us in for a meal ( but I recommend booking ahead!) which was tasty and we had a good choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar had a good selection of ales and lagers. We had a good nights sleep and breakfast was lovely. Looking forward to coming back again .

Went for Sunday lunch, much quieter than expected. Food was average. I thought restaurants had stopped serving very very brown dry beef!! Service was fairly slow and Head man didn't like the suggestion that the salt was either empty or didn't grind! Seemed to take offence to the point of forgetting the drinks order. Pathetic. The more junior staff did their best. Would I recommend? Not if you want a bit of atmosphere and a decent lunch.

This must be our 9th stay at the Tempest Arms and can honestly say this our absolute favourite for a break away we always try to stay in Beckside 1 or 3 just because of the outside area. The food cleanliness and wonderful staff are what makes this place top notch well done Tempest Arms (I'm already looking into booking next week!)Hopefully see you soon

We stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting friends in the area. The evening meal on the first night was nice and service was good. We asked for a carton of orange juice to take to the room as my husband drinks a lot during the night, we were shocked to see that we were charged £8.10 for this!(2.90 in the supermarket) Breakfast, there was a good choice and the homemade granola was lovely but the service was poor, one of the waitress’s in particular was just miserable and obviously couldn’t be bothered. The bar staff and reception were very nice and helpful. As a whole it was a pleasant stay but we wouldn’t rush back I’m afraid.
