Diamonds Thudufushi Maldives Resort & SPA

Our 10 night stay was truly magical, so much more than we could of ever imagined. To getting off the sea plane to smiles & waves to seeing the turquoise sea and beautiful beach. The staff were so friendly and helpful. One of the waiters Ahmet was always with a smile and totally looked after us. Klarna was a breath of fresh air who made the best smoothie I've ever tasted! If your a foodie this island is for you, no meal was the same every day. Our house staff always polite & friendly with adding all the little touches was so lovely. The coral was spectacular with crystal clear water so you could do snorkelling and see. It was like swimming in a marine tank! We booked again and are going back in march 2026 and cannot wait. I would of loved a Mehendi decoration, as would of other ladies i spoke to but the lady left the island it was a shame. But still I do not have a negative thing to say about this island and the staff.

Thudufushi is a charming little island in the south of the Ari Atoll that we have visited six times. It is the perfect blend of understated luxury and authentic Maldivian charm, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. The atmosphere is pleasantly quiet, with an international mix of guests, many of whom come from Italy and the DACH region. The main languages spoken are Italian and English. The island can be reached by seaplane in about 30 minutes from Malé. With a diameter of about 150 meters, it is easy to explore and can be walked around in a few minutes. Thudufushi is a typical island with lush vegetation. While both sides of the island are lined with beautiful white sandy beaches, the eastern side shows signs of erosion. One of the most interesting aspects is the absence of breakwaters, which helps to preserve the natural beauty of the area. The island is completely surrounded by coral reefs, making it a paradise for diving and snorkeling. The approximately 40 beach bungalows and 25 water villas are decorated in a simple, elegant white, which, together with the turquoise water, creates a harmonious overall picture. The villas blend perfectly with the natural beauty of the island. We had booked a water villa and received an upgrade to a villa with a pool. These are spacious and have a large terrace with a pool and direct access to the sea. Privacy is excellent thanks to the generous distance between the villas. The interior design is high quality and minimalist in white. Signs of wear and tear are visible in some places, but this does not detract from the overall impression. The villas are thoroughly cleaned twice a day. The service at Thudufushi is first class. From the moment we were met at the airport to the staff on the island, we always felt welcome. All our requests were fulfilled with a smile. One particularly impressive moment was when a member of staff ran halfway across the island to tell us that he had spotted a manta ray near an empty villa! The culinary offerings at Thudufushi were one of the highlights of our stay. The all-inclusive package is very generous and includes a wide selection of food and drinks. The quality of the food is always very high. Whether in the main restaurant with its varied buffet or in the restaurant on the water, the ingredients are fresh, the preparation creative and the presentation very appealing. As guests of the water villas, we had access to the elegant water restaurant. The atmosphere there is relaxed and elegant, with a breathtaking view of the turquoise sea. The dishes, which are served à la carte, are excellent and prepared with great care. However, the selection of dishes is somewhat limited compared to the buffet, which can lead to repetition during a longer stay. The main restaurant offers a generous buffet with an impressive variety of dishes, including international classics and traditional Maldivian cuisine, ensuring something for everyone. What a trip. We spent 6 days on Thudufushi in November 2024 celebrating our engagement. From the moment we landed in Male and were taken to the sea plane terminal we were greeted with nothing but the best hospitality. The island itself was amazing. The staff were all super helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our trip was fantastic. We did the snorkelling excursion and sunset fishing which were both great. Would highly recommend the aquarium snorkelling excursion. The over water bungalows were great as provided privacy and we had our own private balcony. But the beach bungalows were equally wonderful. The food was awesome! We ate at both the over water restaurant and standard buffet restaurant and thought the food was just as good at both restaurants. The house reef was amazing. We have been fortunate to travel to the Maldives multiple times but feel Thudufushis house reef was the best we have seen yet. There was turtles and plenty of reef sharks to be seen whilst snorkelling as well as plenty of reef fish. Each snorkel of the different parts of the island was different with more things to see each time. The work the marine biologists are also doing on the island to help regrow and support the reef was admirable and nice to see hopefully some of our money from the trip being spent in this way, so future visitors for years to come can explore this wonderful island and all it had to offer. A wonderful vacation, it couldn't be any other way on Thudufushi. I've visited 87 resorts and Thudufushi is definitely one of our favourite resorts in the Maldives. We have been visiting several times a year for the last 6 years. -spacious villas, with a perfect bed, everything you need -the staff team very kind and helpful, always smiling. -super selection of drinks included in the all inclusive. - beautiful lagoons and a amazing house reef The management of this resort is doing a great job. You can meet the General Manager Mr. Jaco and the Manager Mrs. Carla several times during the day solve every little things for the guests to be absolutely satisfied. Don't hesitate to visit this resort, I am super sure, you will be very satisfied.

In my opinion the resort was fantastic. From the moment we stepped on the Island we were treated with kindness. All the staff are friendly and want your experience to be first class, from the domestic staff to the tour guides. Francesca who met us when we arrived, gave us all the information we needed and Masud who we had dealt with regarding our stay was there to welcome us. We went on some fabulous snorkeling experiences, I was nervous about them and had a bit of a phobia but they made sure I was safe and helped me overcome it, my confidence grew with each trip. So a big thank you for helping me get the best experience it meant a lot! Shadey, Sharuf, Guilia and Annika were fantastic and knowledgeable about the marine life we would be swimming with. The food was good and plenty of it, our waiter Rashid was friendly and we had a few laughs but nothing was too much trouble. The lovely man who cleaned our room did a great job, (sorry forgot his name). We will be looking at returning in the future. Thank you to you all for making our trip special and memorable.
