Outside seating area looks great. Resturant area inside very nice, clean and attractive. Meals look amazing. Enjoy a Guinnes and watch the world go by. Relaxing with excellent service. Very popular. You can view the kitchens preparing meals.

Room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfy. The room I stayed in however was a little tilted and I felt like I had vertigo. I set my suitcase down when I entered the room and it rolled back to the door. Had a lovely meal in the bar and staff were very friendly & helpful.

Restaurant was shocking service. We got table straight away but waiting to order for 20 mins. Even people next to us said they very slow here. Anyway enough was enough, we left before we even got to order. Very poor. Won't be returning. Staff seemed more interested in the horse race on the TV

The staff was so helpful! And I sure needed help. First, I booked the wrong week, and they fixed it without charging me a no-show fee. Thank you! Then, I needed a safe place to store a bicycle overnight, and they found one for me. Also, the breakfast restaurant cheerfully catered to me as a vegan. The chef prepared a special vegan dinner for me one night. I stayed there for two separate weeks. The first time, I had a room overlooking the square; the view was so nice. I loved that little room. --- A few minor notes: the WiFi didn't reach the top floor, so I would have to go downstairs to use it. And the toilet didn't flush well. When I reported that, they said I had to press the handle multiple times. But when I changed to a different room, that toilet flushed fine.

We had the pleasure of visiting Hayes’s Hotel in Thurles for Sunday lunch, we where searching for a good carvery which is hard to find these days ,we settled on trying Hayes’s, Table service not carvery, and my goodness exceptional is too small a word for what we were served, incredible Beef served with mash potatoes , carrot and parsnip , cauliflower, and even better a yorkie and a roast potato, top quality ingredients and cooked perfectly , to be honest one of the best in years, this will be our regular Sunday location , service was efficient and very friendly even with it being so busy. Super spot , not to be missed

There were some good things such as the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The food was very good, especially the breakfast. This isn’t a typical hotel, there is no foyer or place to have a cup of coffee with a friend. You can’t go in the bar unless you have a table booked to have a meal, so strange. The shower is badly designed and dangerous, slippery and easy to get scalded. If you want to get a night sleep you can forget it, loud disco music can be heard in all the rooms. My husband was locked out when he was returning at 12 midnight and he had to phone the receptionist. I would not stay again or recommend anyone else to stay.

The hotel was ideally placed in centre of town. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Excellent breakfast choice, particularly liked the poached eggs on sourdough. Staff could not do enough. We stayed here for horse racing and it met our needs perfectly.

Six of us as a business group walked in to Hayes at lunchtime, loads of empty tables. Basically told us they couldn’t handle such a big group. Two colleagues were parking their car, they had sat down unbeknownst to us and their lunch order was taken. The remaining four people offered to sit at two separate tables for two people, and we were again told our group was too large. We had been meeting clients, had shirts and or jackets / ties, and our business was being refused. We left. Bizarre carry on
