Shangri-La Hotel Tianjin

I absolutely love it here! It's perfect for relaxation, swimming, and working out – a complete package. The room is spacious, and the bedding is comfortable. The hotel's infinity pool is huge with amazing views, and there's a fantastic gym! Every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. The service is simply outstanding! Downstairs, you have Kerry Parkside, making dining incredibly convenient. Behind the hotel, in the residential area, there's a lively atmosphere; it's a great spot to grab authentic Tianjin breakfast in the morning without having to go out of your way. In the evenings, there are various street food stalls and BBQ. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. Oh, and the hotel is very close to the subway station, just one stop directly to Tianjin Station!

We specifically booked this hotel in advance for our coral wedding anniversary and called ahead to request a room with a better view of Jinwan Plaza. To our surprise, not only was the room excellent, but the front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and even prepared a gift in the room beforehand. We were absolutely delighted the moment we walked in! Plus, we received a souvenir when we checked out. This level of service is simply unparalleled – truly exceptional! It definitely lives up to its reputation. We'll be back again.

The guest relations department helped prepare the room and gave us a warm welcome upon check-in. The design, a blend of New Chinese chic and Italian elements, is consistent from the exterior facade to the interior public areas, giving it a grand yet locally authentic feel. The overall decor exudes high quality.

Huge thanks to every staff member for their warm and attentive service! A special shout-out to the greeters, the robot, Lucy and Sally at the front desk. And the fresh fruit every day was a lovely touch.

First time in Tianjin, and Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform) said I *had* to stay at the Shangri-La. They mentioned the front desk was a bit slow and service wasn't always up to par. Also, that the hotel facilities were a bit old, or rather, more than a 'bit'. Turns out, they were spot on! Haha. My room wasn't ready even by 3 PM. Apparently, I was supposed to be on the 25th floor, but they wanted to put me on the 15th. I said I'd wait, and I was willing to. Thankfully, a manager intervened and got me a room on the 30th floor. That's more like it. **Facilities:** The room had all the amenities, but it definitely had a vintage feel (meaning it was a bit old). The toilet, however, had been upgraded to a smart bidet seat, which was a big plus! For a room costing over a thousand yuan, the provided baby crib was really disappointing. Just not good. **Hygiene:** The hygiene was excellent. My baby had a bowel movement, and after I sealed it in a black bag and placed it outside the door, it was immediately taken away. The only downside was just before bed, when I showered, the shower room had a strong smell of smoke. Felt like my hair was clean for nothing. **Environment:** It's right by the Hai River, so the night view is stunning. Downstairs, there's a Kerry Parkside mall, but there are so many concrete barriers that it's impossible to get a stroller through. **Service:** If you don't drink the coffee, they'll just keep stocking it. I tried the 285 buffet, and it was decent. The Chinese restaurant, however, was a mess. The 'White Jade Bitter Gourd' (which looked perfect in the picture) came out looking like a plate of pickles, and for 68 yuan, it completely lacked presentation. The 'snowflake beef' was all fat and oil. The 'seafood rice soup' looked like fried dough sticks in soup, totally different from the picture. The claypot rice had no crispy bottom and was very loose. The only good thing was the prawns, which were better than those at Xiaohongfang, but at 388 yuan per jin, they were also expensive!

The environment is great and the service is excellent. Kerry Centre is right outside the lobby, which is convenient for shopping. The lunch buffet was good, and breakfast offered a wide variety, though it was a bit crowded during the holiday. Overall, it's a good place and I recommend it.

This hotel is luxurious and grand, and the outdoor parking lot is large and convenient. Front desk service manager Sun Meng was incredibly warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. The Haihe River night view is stunning, and you can even see the tour boats. It's right next to Kerry Centre, making dining and shopping very convenient. We'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel service was fantastic. We got a room upgrade with an amazing, unobstructed view of the Haihe River, and it was incredibly quiet – not a sound. Our child slept really well. The hotel pool was their absolute favorite. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Tianjin!

The five-star service standard is truly the best. I booked for two days, and on the second day, I asked to switch rooms for a different view. When I returned from Mount Laoshan, the new room was ready for me. Many thanks! 💐 The hotel's service and management are both top-notch.
