Had a fantastic experience! The front desk staff upgraded us to a lake-view room. We could enjoy the lake and the bridge right from our window, and it was even more beautiful at night when lit up.
**Location:** The hotel is located in Dongli District (Airport Economic Zone), with outlets, Fu Yue Li, and SM Lifestyle Plaza nearby, making shopping and dining very convenient. It's essentially midway between attractions in Binhai New Area and the city center, catering to both.
**Facilities:** The facilities aren't brand new but are very comprehensive. They offer a buffet and a Chinese restaurant, though due to the holiday, the Chinese restaurant was also relocated to the first floor. Breakfast indeed had a rich variety, including Tianjin specialties like Jianbing Guozi, Guobacai, and steamed buns with braised pork. However, the overall taste at the restaurant was just average.
**Hygiene:** Our floor attendant, Liu Yanming, was extremely helpful. He's a male attendant, which is uncommon but he was very meticulous and attentive, always ready to assist and helped us resolve some issues during our stay.
**Environment:** Excellent! Just a two-step walk downstairs to the lakeside. A large park has been built around the entire lake, perfect for morning exercise or leisurely strolls – very relaxing and pleasant.
**Service:** As an InterContinental hotel, the service standards are definitely up to par. However, I do have a few suggestions:
1. It's understandable that restaurants hire temporary staff during busy holidays, but their training should be more thorough. Many service procedures clearly lacked proper execution.
2. The hotel elevators should require room card access for better security.
3. The parking lot isn't very large and is open-air. Guests mostly find their own spots, and it's often parked haphazardly, making entry and exit difficult. It would be best to have staff to direct traffic.
