Very disappointing handling of belongings left in our suite We stayed at Leonardo Plaza Tiberias last week in a suite on the 12th floor with two bathrooms. A few hours after returning home, I realized that I had accidentally left two cosmetic bags containing creams, toiletries and other personal items in the suite. Beginning the very next day, and again the following day, we called the hotel several times and spoke with several different employees. Every time we were told that someone would check and call us back. Not a single person ever returned our call. We live approximately an hour away and I made it clear that I was willing to drive back to Tiberias myself to collect the bags. I wasn’t asking the hotel to ship anything — I simply wanted someone to check what happened to belongings left in our suite and give me an answer. Two cosmetic bags do not simply disappear from a hotel suite after checkout without someone encountering them. Whether they were found by housekeeping, misplaced, or something else happened, I expected a hotel of this level to investigate and respond. What disappoints me most is not only the loss of the belongings, but the complete lack of follow-up. When a guest repeatedly calls regarding personal property left in a room, the minimum level of service should be to return the call and explain what was checked. I am still waiting for an explanation from the hotel.
