Each apartment has its own individual style and décor that may include multicolored Zagorian ceilings, heavy Persian carpets and traditional hand-made wood and iron furniture. The apartments are equipped with a fireplace, heating, a hydromassage shower or spa bath and an LCD satellite TV.
A rich buffet breakfast which includes homemade jam, honey and bread is served in the lobby area. Machalas also has a family-run tavern serving traditional specialties.

Absolutely beautiful stay at the Hotel Machalas in Kipoi!!! The very clean rooms are actually studios fitted with a comfy bed, a dining table, sofa, kitchenette, fridge and functional bathroom. There are always 4 studios in a typical Zagorohoria stone house. Breakfast is lavish with Greek delights. The owners took very well care of us. They also own the little restaurant opposite which serves authentic and tasty Greek cuisine. NB: Excellent heating in the studio.

Such a special and magical village. My husband and I hiked the Zagori region the first few days of November 2023. Our room at Hotel Machalas was spacious, super clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was provided and large bathroom with good hot water. We only stayed one night and would liked to have stayed longer. The grounds of the hotel were just beautiful and the village was very quaint. Breakfast was provided by hotel in the morning with plenty of food: eggs, fruit, veggies, meat, cheeses, pastries, coffee and various juices. Delicious! Staff was friendly and helpful. We were there at the end of the season and only a few tourists around. Restaurant for evening meal was across the street, delish. Local wines provided at a very reasonable price. Cannot comment on parking as we did not have a car. Several sets of stairs to get to/ from room and breakfast area so if you are someone who has a difficult time with stairs, this is not the place for you; Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our 3 day stay when visiting Kipi to do some walking in the area. A bit dated but very comfortable and clean and a fantastic breakfast. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They own the taverna across the road where the food was excellent too.

Everything was wonderful, the stay in the stone house with the fireplace, the heating and the a/c, the free parking in the same area of the hotel, the friendly and helpful staff, the restaurant right across the street, the mini market 5m away, the quiet nature, the sights. The best choice for accommodation in Zagorochoria. The road is very easy to get to and from there you can make excursions throughout the rest of Zagori. It will be our first choice for autumn.

These stone houses combine the warmth of village hospitality with the excellent facilities of a stylish guest house. The host is very kind and helpful in everything one needs. The breakfast is honest. I will prefer it again!

Super netter Eigentümer. Er betreibt auch das gute Restaurant gegenüber (in dem es leckeren Orangenkuchen gibt). Unser Zimmer war riesig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut. Gute Lage in Kipi, nahe der Vikos-Schlucht und der Steinbrücken. Parkplatz kostenlos vorhanden. Kipi ist ein interessantes altes Dorf, und es lohnt sich ein kleiner Rundgang zur Kirche hoch. Die Heizung hat etwas überreagiert ;) Sonst nichts zu beanstanden.
