Huntsville Caravan Park

Very clean and tidy.. friendly and helpful staff.. definitely will stay there again.

The first turn off was every time I went to the ladies there was a gentleman cleaning … He did leave, but it’s still a turn off Then directly behind the caravan park, I would describe it as feral city one night we were here. There was a domestic and he jumped the fence and ran directly behind us, threw himself to the river to get away from the police. There has been constant shouting and arguing from behind us . Did I include? He jumped on our neighbours roof? The sites are also limited privacy as you can see by the photo - not the best laid out nor is it the best maintained The traffic noise during the day is quite loud as you have the bridge directly next to you I wouldn’t recommend any longer than a night

Lovely park. We had the double cabin it was brand new. Very clean comfortable bed. Laundry was good and cheap. Park is opposite a small shopping centre so everything was close and in walking distance. Can’t fault the park at all and will definitely be staying there again.

We took a SUPERIOR CABIN, newly refurbished. It was very comfortable inside, with everything for our comfort & convenience, and crockery & cutlery, pots & pans, all new & shiny. There was a small shopping centre almost opposite, where we could get Thai food. However, our cabin was situated right at the front of the van park, next to the Gympie road. In the evening the traffic thinned out by about 9 pm, so we were able to sleep, but in the morning the trucks started at about 4.30-5am, so no beauty sleep was had after that time. We moved our bed across to the opposite wall, and made the head end towards the park, not the road, which helped a bit. We also left the aircon on low all night, to create white noise. Retrospectively, I would take an older cabin that was further from the road. The noise levels could be helped somewhat by a noise reducing barrier at the front of the park. Another small issue was that the steps up to the small front verandah jutted just slightly into the parking area for the car, so I had to be very careful not to hit the bottom step when coming or going. So ask the position of your cabin when you book, to avoid the noise problem.
