Hotel Boka

We got a good deal on this hotel but were still very disappointed. Ok, so it's in a great location, other than the building site opposite, and it's comfortable and nicely furnished. Very new. Our 'deluxe' room was teeny. I'm 5'2 and struggled with the bathroom size. The hairdryer cut out every 2 mins so took forever to dry my hair. The ac didn't work but ot wasn't too hot so we just managed so our fault for not complaining. The safe didn't work either. We do travel a lot so we're not incompetent at working these things weren't sure if the water on the desk was free as there was a mini bar fridge with no prices. Breakfast was dire. The coffee machine was good that was it. No bread replaced when it ran out and just 2 or 3 stale croissants. They were hard and inedible. Breakfast had an hour to run so not like it was finishing. After travelling around Albania in cheaper, better places we booked a lower star place in Tirana at rhe end. It was cheaper, in a great location and far superior to here. Wifi kept cutting out.

This facility is poor all over. Front desk over charged in conversion of euros to lek. They charged 100 when the rate was 94.45. There was not a single English channel. When I complained, the answer was, Albania is faraway from England:) Something very serious happened, just when I finished my argument with the Manager, an organisation by the name of Mediterranean Investment tried to charge usd5,937 on my credit card. It is a coincidence or what? I am not accusing the hotel but it is higher coincidental. The room is not furnished for €250 for 2 nights. The agreed amount was €207. So pls be careful.

A great hotel centrally located with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from within 5 minutes. Rooms were a decent size and very clean and tidy. Good variety for breakfast. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

The location is very good,however there is construction in the square with machinery being operated even during the night. The rooms are ok, however they have fitted carpets that can't be kept clean. It was written that there are slippers but they are only given on asking and two pairs for 3 persons as they " did not have". In room there was no coffee but only one kind of tea. Breakfast is not good at all. Everything cold and stale . Coffee pot with very weak cold coffee offered. Disgrace. Owner is very unfriendly with no compromise at all. I will try to avoid the hotel if I am in Tirana again

I wanted to give it 5* but sadly I can’t, we were a group of 5 couples, only 1 safe worked out of 5. The breakfast was not good at all, the toaster took 7 minutes to heat 1 side, the eggs & sausage were cold (the serving dishes were always cold) a lack of hot breakfast & only allowed 1 coffee! Had to ask for glasses, serviettes. We booked 2 taxis with reception for our return from Durres only 1 turned up the other an hour later! I would like to say the young receptionist tried very hard to help us & was very kind.

Hptel Boka We were only entitled to 1 coffee at breakfast any more had to be paid for. Breakfast was quite basic. Good area to stay lots of nice traditional restaurants and very near to the market. Short walk to Skanderberg square
