The sanitary conditions of this hotel are very poor. The bath towels and towels are dirty gray and black due to being used for too long and not being washed for a long time. It is extremely disgusting.
The most annoying thing is the poor service attitude of the staff. I asked them to change to cleaner and whiter towels and bath towels, but they actually said that these are the ones they provide and they are already very clean!
Travelers who have requirements for sanitary conditions and service attitude, please stay away from this hotel. The price is not cheap and the price/performance ratio is extremely low. The most important thing is that the hygiene is too poor and the service attitude of the staff is also very bad!

Coach house inn was the perfect place to stay in tobermory. Was 3min drive to the main village and had ample parking. The room was clean, and the motel was beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone who plans to stay in tobermory.

Our first room was great - until I sat on the bed. It was a table. I'm not a lightweight. I made ZERO indentations in the mattress. But, the room was spacious, it had lots of storage and it was clean. And it had a mini fridge . When my husband inquired about getting an extra comforter to help soften it, the front desk offered us a new room (2 double beds as opposed to one queen). That was very kind. However, the room with 2 beds was more crowded. The mattresses were sleep able, at least. But the toilet didn't work properly, and one of the drawers in the dresser kept opening, so we stuffed a newspaper in it to keep it shut. Both rooms are definitely in need of renovations. And, we were a little perturbed that the restaurant was closed, after we read that it would be open.

Tiles in the ceiling had what looked like mould on them. Bed was comfortable. New gravel in the parking lot was freshly covered.

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Check-in was easy. It's a few kilometres from downtown, but I needed to stretch my legs so I walked in for supper.
The only issue I had was that I was on my motorcycle and the parking lot had fresh gravel, so the bike sunk in a bit and was too heavy to push back out. I ended up driving through the curbs and on to the sidewalk and then out. When I checked in, the young fellow at the desk said I could park my bike on the sidewalk if I wanted to, but I didn't understand why until I went to leave the next morning. Fortunately, the curb blocks are low enough that they didn't scrape the mufflers. A lighter bike or a younger rider wouldn't have this problem. It was all good in the end.
