Hotel Fonte Cesia
8.4 (25 reviews)

Hotel Fonte Cesia ★★★★

📍 Via Lorenzo Leoni, 3, Todi

"Unsure how this hotel gets good reviews. I'm sure that it was once a fine hotel but now it feels very old, tired and distinctly dingy (very dark corridors & rooms). Our room was dark, had an uncomfortable bed and a bathroom with a hand shower over the bath without even a curtain. It was also very noisy, both from people in a nearby cafe/bar & from the bathroom of the room above. Breakfast was OK but fairly limited. The location, very near the centre of Todi, was the only positive of our stay. Personally, I would say this is now a 2 star hotel at best."

Monastero SS. Annunziata
8.7 (44 reviews)

Monastero SS. Annunziata ★★

📍 Via S. Biagio, 2, Todi

"The hotel is a monastery, which is very special. The common rooms are very beautiful, with antique furniture, paintings and freshness. The rooms have been restored, except for bathrooms, however, functional and comfortable. The breakfast room is very special, being the convent restaurant. The staff is very friendly and comfortable. There is a comfortable parking at 100m. The centre is reached with a walk (in up) of 10-15 minutes, but feasible. Recommended"

Borgo Petroro
9.1 (53 reviews)

Borgo Petroro ★★★

📍 Vocabolo Castello di Petroro, 9, Todi

"I am not sure what the previous comment means by their negativity regarding management - Andrea was amazing from start to finish from when we first enquired about our wedding, up until our big day! We had the most beautiful time and it wouldn't have been possible without everyone at Borgo Petroro! Our deepest thanks to you all, especially Andrea, Marina, Giacomo, Florian, Simone, Daniela Jessica, Caterina, and Federico for the BEST food ever!! We will be back next year to see you all and celebrate our anniversary! x"

Torre Sangiovanni Albergo e Ristorante da Rosary

Torre Sangiovanni Albergo e Ristorante da Rosary ★★★

📍 Vocabolo Castello, 28, Collevalenza

"A very enjoyable stay ~ after we got there! Our flight into Rome was over an hour late due to unavoidable problems and consequently our rental car by Discover Cars was no longer available so we had to rent on the spot costing us two and a half times what was planned. That was a bad start but once on the road we put in the address on our GPS and about an hour and a half got off at the Todi exit. Somehow we ended up driving (following our GPS) all over the area without any luck. We finally found a 'saint' that called the hotel and they arranged to meet us just outside of Todi promising to send someone to guide us to the property. We finally arrived, got settled, had a wonderful meal and were able to get to sleep. The evening meal was very good but somewhat limited for a vegetarian. Breakfast had an excellent variety of foods. We were very thankful for the staffs willingness to come and 'find' us or we'd never found the hotel. We had expected it to be a little closer to the town of Todi but it all worked out. The property certainly has all the 'old world' charm, and all the staff were most helpful. Our room was very comfortable, quiet, and cozy. The drive to Todi was about 10 minutes and having your own transportation would be necessary to stay here. A lovely place and I'd definitely stay again."

Hotel Fonte Cesia ★★★★
"There is a lot I want to say about Hotel Fonte Cesia: firstly, its location is superb as it is literally in the Centro Storico of Todi (historic town in Umbria). I would also like to say that the staff were all polite, always helpful and professional. Our room faced the very busy Corso Cavour which then joins and becomes Via Roma. Generally speaking, it was not too disruptive, BUT when outside guests and also people sitting at the nearby bar (near the actual Fonte Cesia fountain), we were forced to shut the window-door, this meant we also needed to keep the air conditioning (aria condizionata) on for prolonged periods of time if we were in the room, not just because it was terribly hot outside (nearly 38 C), but because the room being quite small needed some air anyway. This leads me to talk about the AC system which, in my humble opinion, would need a good modernisation. It was a tad too noisy for our taste. The bathroom was lovely and full of light, BUT the shower cubicle far too small... even for me, and I am rather petite in stature. Breakfast was lovely but the hotel does not include in the stay so needs to be paid separately as well as the city tax. As a 4-star hotel, I would have hoped that something like a glass of Prosecco to celebrate our wedding anniversary, which I had asked for before arriving at the hotel, would have been complimentary, but instead a whole bottle of it had been opened so, apart from asking for it to be kept in the hotel fridge so we would consume it during the next two days, I then realised it had also been included in the final bill. I understand that the hotel wants to stay unique and independent, which is great, BUT sometimes it is nice to offer a little surprise to first-time guests like we were. ;-) I do want to add though that two members of the staff at the hotel, excelled themselves during out stay: "breakfast" Monia and Tiziana. Thank you both for your care and patience!"

Monastero SS. Annunziata ★★
"A place that is still engaged in spirituality Ex monastery closing the various refreshed rooms and 1600 furniture with a charming church. Breakfast at the restaurant with refreshed walls is an emotional experience that remains inside. The rooms are free of charge and are also provided with a warm/cold conditioner for use during cold periods such as this May."

Borgo Petroro ★★★
"We have stayed before in this hotel. The setting is very nice with a view on Todi. The reception was very good. We had a very nice standard room. The room was comfortable and had all the things we needed. The buffet breakfast was very basic with little selections. The service was very slow. We did not had dinner in the hotel this time as there were not many guests."

"We had a Balcony room at Villa Luisa. They have a nice breakfast. Very kind staff. Bathroom had a bidet as well as a toilet, sink and corner shower. The beds are not comfortable. Very hard and not much to them. Transportation into town was not easy. If you have your own transportation, there is parking available."
