N+HOTEL Akihabara

The N+Hotel in Akihabara is new, modern hotel. Trip.com's $100 per night price was half of what the local Japanese tourist were paying (as confirmed when I attempted to extend my stay an extra day.) My double bed room was very small by American standards, but proximity to nearby train and subway stations is much more important when you want to visit as many tourist sites as possible. The Hotel's Wi-Fi was the fastest I've ever encountered in any hotel -- Japanese or American -- with a download and upload speed of 95 Mbits/sec. There is no limit to the amount of coffee or tea you could get from the downstairs eating area. The high-tech machines produced excellent results. In contrast, the complimentary breakfast of ham and egg sandwiches handed out each morning were awful by American standards, but adequate if you're in a rush. I intend to book the same hotel next year when I return to see Grand Sumo matches.
