Nohga Hotel Ueno Tokyo Reviews

We loved our little shoebox in Tokyo! It was tiny, but very clean and well thought out. Only things missing were somewhere around the sink to hang hand-towels and an extractor fan in the bathroom. Felt strange not to have one in such a small, windowless space and would have helped with drying the towels. Loved the communal areas, the library was full of great books and pamphlets on Tokyo. Gorgeous space to lounge in. We enjoyed live Jazz one Friday night, which was absolutely beautiful. Laundry room very clean and well laid out, with iron as well as 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. Really liked this area and right next door to lounge! Location also great, walking distance to Ueno station and many museums and attractions. Easy to get around and very lively area. Gorgeous reception staff. Overall lovely vibe. We were happy to stay here for 5 nights and could have stayed more!

The location seemed close to the station, but you actually have to cross a large pedestrian overpass with no elevator, which was really inconvenient with big luggage. We were only staying a few hours and leaving, but the hotel couldn't accommodate an early check-in for us to rest, so we had to wait until 3 PM to check in and left at 9 PM. The welcome drink was just a sip, and the gym was very crowded. I don't really recommend it.

The location is fantastic as it is close to a major subway line, a massive park and lots of food while also being relatively quiet. The room itself is quite squished and the service was only okay as it was all self service including replenishing waters. I would go again but not have high service expectations.

The room was really ordinary. I'm not sure if it's because we're Chinese, but they gave me a room on the 3rd floor. Floors 3-10 are all guest rooms. The cleanliness was okay, but the carpet was quite old. The toiletries were just average, and breakfast was not good. The avocado tasted strange, and it was the only main course. The buffet had very few items, almost nothing. I even had to ask the staff for butter. The location is pretty good if you're going to Asakusa and Narita. However, at 1400 (price), it's not worth it; it's just like a budget inn.

On the 2nd day, the hotel didnt change my towels and robes (i left in bathtub), water bottles & tea bags were not replenish, and dirtied cups not wash. Standards mot met. However, the night shift front desk lady (27thJun) was very kind to send the towels and robes to our room at 1am, when i came back from my day outing. Rooms were ok, staff were approachable but not overly friendly. The restaurant looks good.

Super convenient location! Nearby many restaurants and convenient store! Room is bigger than others in Japan.

This boutique hotel is conveniently located very close to Ueno Station, making it easy to get around. The facilities are quite new, the service is friendly, and there are a lot of international guests.

Great location near UENO station, park and Ameyokocho shopping street. Clean, modern and spacious room.

Not far from Ueno Station, just cross the pedestrian bridge and you'll find it tucked away in a quiet alley. You can spot the restaurant from the street, and the tiny front desk is discreetly located next to it, where staff will greet you warmly. The room is very cozy and comes with two complimentary bottles of water. Breakfast is excellent, a combination of buffet and à la carte. It's super convenient for visiting Ueno Park, its art museums, and the National Museum. In the morning, you can even take a refreshing walk to Senso-ji Temple and back.

The hotel is a short walk from Ueno Station. Don't follow your GPS and take the long way around from the second-floor platform of Ueno Station; it's very convenient for getting anywhere. The hotel has a great, quiet atmosphere, and the breakfast is a semi-buffet with really delicious main dishes!

Been travelling around in Japan but nohga breakfast was one of the hidden gems of the area. Just yums.

Great location, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room layout is well-designed; at 27 square meters, there's enough space to fully open three large suitcases. The hotel also provides Sekkisei skincare products daily. I'd definitely recommend staying here again if you're in Ueno, Tokyo.

The room is clean and comfortable with a modern design. Amenities kits are available for guests to take themselves, but towels are not replaced.
