I've stayed at the sister hotel, Akane-kan, many times but never at Moegi. I stayed at Akane-kan for the first two days, then went outside Tokyo for a bit. When I came back, it was a Saturday, and room rates were very expensive. Luckily, I could use all my accumulated Ctrip points to fully cover the cost at Moegi. To be honest, the room quality here is better than Akane-kan. When I checked into Akane-kan earlier, the front desk noticed my two bookings and mentioned I'd be staying next door later. Here, the front desk is on the second floor, and you need a card to access the rooms. I've noticed that in hotels where the front desk isn't on the ground floor, when you go from the first floor to your room, the elevator always has to stop at the front desk floor. I guess it's for security. The room is also larger than at Akane-kan. Overall, it's very good!

Great

Just checked into our hotel in Tokyo. The main plus is its excellent location; both Higashi-Ginza and Tsukiji are close by. The Hibiya Line subway station is practically 100 meters downstairs, making it super easy to walk to Ginza. The hotel itself is clean and hygienic, no issues there. The only minor complaint would be the toothbrushes, which aren't great (I'd recommend bringing your own or buying one from a convenience store). However, the facial and bath amenities are all of good quality. The main drawback is definitely the room size. The 0.9-meter-wide bed is something you just get used to in Tokyo, but even the toilet felt like it was designed for children – not very convenient for taller individuals. On the upside, the front desk staff deserve a special mention. Their warm greetings go without saying. I used Yamato to send my luggage, and the staff were incredibly patient and helpful in verifying information and filling out forms. Really excellent service. Overall, the location is great, and getting here from Haneda Airport was quite convenient. The nearby Tsukiji morning market isn't far, but I personally didn't find it to be particularly budget-friendly. Of course, a good location often means sacrificing space at a similar price point. It really comes down to your priorities when making a decision.

They provided face wash, lotion, and makeup remover, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast spread was excellent.

The location is great, making it easy to get around. It's very close to Tsukiji Market, and the subway station is just across the street. You can also walk to Ginza, which takes about 20 minutes. There are plenty of dining options nearby.

The hotel's front desk service was excellent; they quickly stored our luggage. We requested a high floor, which was great, but the duvet cover was only a half-cover, making it easy to kick off while sleeping. I hope the hotel can improve this. The cleaning staff did a thorough job, and overall, the service quality was good.

The location is very convenient, just a few steps from the train station, with easy access to Shibuya in less than 30 minutes. There are convenience stores on almost every corner and plenty of restaurants nearby during the day. Since it is mainly an office area, it becomes very quiet at night, making it a great choice for those who prefer a peaceful stay. The room was comfortable, and the bed was soft and cozy. My only minor concern was the bathroom, which felt quite dated compared with what you would typically find in Japan modern hotel nowadays. Other than that, everything was great, and I had a very comfortable stay.

The price was cheaper than a few other nearby places, but my stay was still quite good, pretty much the same experience. It offers good value for money, and importantly, it had a window for ventilation, which was great. Overall, I'm satisfied. Service: Good.

Hotel Moegi is in a quiet yet bustling location, near Ginza. My itinerary was planned like this: from Narita Airport, I took a bus to Ginza Station, then got off, took the subway escalator, and rode to Tsukiji Station. Exit 3A of Tsukiji Station is right at the hotel entrance. If you have luggage, use Exit H, which has an elevator. We even got lost and went in a circle that evening, but Exit 1 also has an elevator. Exit 4 is across from the hotel but has no elevator. Ginza is just one stop away, making transfers very convenient. You can transfer to other lines in Ginza to go anywhere. We took a taxi from Tokyo Tower back to the hotel, which cost about 90 yuan and took about 15 minutes. A taxi from Ginza back to the hotel was 50 yuan and about 10 minutes. We were tired from walking, and the navigation showed the subway station was a bit of a walk, and we really couldn't find it. Later, we saw a taxi and just got in. I used a 'where to go' card to show the driver the address, so there was no fear of communication issues. You can pay with cash, Alipay, WeChat, or even a transportation card. Since my son knows a little Japanese, I asked in English, and the driver replied in Japanese, and I understood him 😉. The hotel room isn't big, but it's neat and clean, with no strange smells. Every day, they just put a tag for cleaning, empty the trash, and tidy the beds. I stayed for 5 nights and was very satisfied. Plus, I booked a twin room for 5 nights at 2800 yuan, without breakfast, which is an acceptable price for Tokyo – very cheap! I prefer staying in hotels. Although guesthouses might have more space, it's fine for just my son and me. We could even open two suitcases. I'll choose this hotel again next time. There's a convenience store and a breakfast shop downstairs. You can also go to Ginza for breakfast or other meals.
