Hotel Sunroute Ginza Reviews

Rooms in Tokyo are generally a bit on the smaller side, but this one was still perfectly adequate. The location is super convenient, about 900m from Tokyo Station. There's a 7-Eleven just a two-minute walk downstairs, and it's really close to the subway entrance, making it incredibly easy to go shopping in Ginza.

The hotel is small but very comfortable, and getting around is quite convenient.

We had a wonderful family stay at Hotel Sunroute Ginza during our trip to Tokyo. The location was very convenient, with easy access to train stations, shopping areas, and many great restaurants nearby. What really stood out was the kindness and attentiveness of the reception staff. We booked 3 rooms for our family, and they were kind enough to accommodate our request to have all the rooms assigned on the same floor, which made our stay much more comfortable and convenient. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained. Although the hotel does not have a coin laundry facility, they do provide a vending machine along with a water and ice station on the 2nd floor, which we found very useful during our stay. We also truly appreciated how thoughtful the staff were when my daughter accidentally wet the bed. Housekeeping kindly placed a waterproof layer under the sheets afterward, which showed great care and understanding toward families traveling with children. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Tokyo. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall, it was just okay. 1. The front desk staff, an Indian gentleman, had a very strong accent (no offense intended!!). I asked him to speak slower, but he continued to speak quickly, and I couldn't understand the hotel facility introductions after a long time. His attitude was mediocre, and he assigned us a corner room, claiming it was "bigger," but we didn't notice any significant difference in size compared to a 17㎡ room. 2. The bathroom was tiny; you had to step into the tub to shower, and there was no exhaust fan!! After a shower, it felt incredibly stuffy, and the mirror was very foggy. 3. Although it's advertised as being near a subway station, no popular lines pass through it, and even the nearest JR station is almost a kilometer away. Be sure to check the routes carefully! 4. The complimentary toiletries were very sparse; it was one of the few front desks that didn't provide bath salts, lotions, or makeup remover for free. In summary, it was just okay, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of April and overall had a good experience. The location is definitely the biggest plus it’s right near Ginza high street where all the shops are and only about a 5–7 minute walk to the nearest station which made getting around really easy. There are also a few FamilyMarts nearby which was super convenient. Clean and comfortable but like most Tokyo hotels, don’t expect a lot of space. It’s compact but that’s pretty standard for the area. Good option if you want a well-located, no-fuss place to stay in Ginza.

Great location, very convenient for shopping, but the room facilities are a bit old.

Good hotel and very well located in Kyoto, can really be used as stay for an entire Kyoto trip. Room relatively small. While traveling with a stroller 2 elevators need to be used, very minor point, but could me more convenient

The location is super convenient, with multiple subway lines nearby, making it very easy to get to the airport and major tourist attractions. There are plenty of convenience stores and a wide variety of dining options in the surrounding area.

Strong smell of pee in toilet which never goes away, probably coming from the shower curtain. Could have better options in nearby locations

This was the first hotel we stayed at during our Tokyo trip, and it was a great start. The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came every day to keep it fresh. I especially appreciated that they provided new slippers daily — such a small gesture, but it made me feel really cared for. Although the room is on the smaller side, that’s quite normal for hotels in Japan, so it was perfectly acceptable for me. The bathroom was spotless and even had a bathtub, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay!

Room is adequately big enough for our family of 3.  Located near to subway stations and shopping cum restaurants.

Although the price is comparable to the nearby hotel, we were quite disappointed to find that there was no water bottle giveaway. The space was also quite small for the price charged.

First time we stayed in this hotel and explored the location which is surrounded by good restaurants and convenience stores. We like the area and the hotel room is decent. It will be great if the hotel has onsen facilities.
